  1. My dr. would only do like 2.5ccs in the first fill. I didn't feel any restriction really. I'm at about 5.75 now. I am pretty close to my sweet spot. It takes time, but don't rush it and don't freak yourself out. It's hard when you can don't feel any restriction (bandster hell). It will come and then you'll be happier!
  2. Ok, waiting for dr. to call me back. My back is still aching, but really it feels like aching now and I had a little sciatic pain today. I think my back is not used to this new weight. I'm down about 50lbs.
  3. No, but I've never figured out family. My mother brought a container of chocolate chip Cookies to my house after the surgery. ??? WTH?? I try not to understand people anymore. {hugs}
  4. Ok, I've checked gall bladder stuff, and it says all the pains are on the right side. I'm having pain (aching pain) on the left side behind my port in my back. I have had lots of gas and no food change. I haven't had a fill for over 5 weeks, and this just started 2 weeks ago. Someone mentioned, weight re-distribution. Could that be it? I have scoliosis (wore a back brace when i was in 8th-11th grade). My back was used to my old weight and now it's getting used to lighter me? I wonder if I am not holding my posture correct. Ugh, I'm sorry, it's just really bothering me and I want an answer. sigh.
  5. I don't remember when, but I do know I stay away from carbonation. So no more beer, but I now love Malibu, OJ, pineapple and grenadine. Also a nice Riesling (light white wine) is nice too.
  6. Ok, I'm 10 mths post op. I"m down about 48lbs. It's ok  Question: I can eat popcorn easily, is this bad for me and the band? Secondly: Could popcorn be causing me extreme gas issues and pain in back?
  7. My back has been hurting lately too and tonight my port area is sore. I wonder if I am eating too much too.
  8. That is awesome!! I'm jealous, I have way more, but I'll get there too. You should be proud of yourself!
  9. to me PBing is just regurgetating(sp) of the food. Meaning if you vomit, you really work hard to make it come up. FOr me PBing, can be quick. I think of the food sitting in the stoma and not in the stomach yet. If I pb then it just comes back up the way it went down.
  10. It seems to happen regardless of what I eat lately. It's only been for 2 weeks. I kind of thought it was a female issue, but it's not. Could it be that I ate too much and then gas X100 was created? Can popcorn cause gas?
  11. I burp a lot! Mainly because I get lots of gas, so I do a lot of burping!
  12. I do wake up a smidge hungry, but not like starving. Plus I'm tight in the morning and can't do more than a protein shake or water/milk. So really not until 10ish do I need food.
  13. Ok, I eat fine, and then 2 hours or so later, I get what I think is gas pain. It is around my port, a little lower and around my back. It kind of feels like cramps and then I burp a lot and finally it goes away. Kind of a dull pain and uncomfortable. I'm assuming it's gas. Is this normal?? I finally have good restriction and I wonder if I'm just eating too much food?
  14. Congratulations!!
  15. I think in general it is sad b/c he was Iconic and reminds me of my youth. I think he was seriously troubled and a bit off. I'm not sure he was a molester, but it didn't look good for him. I think Farrah was iconic also, but she was controversial with her swimsuit poster and nipple showing through. I also think it's sad when anyone dies, but I don't believe anyone can take away the fact he was an Icon.
  16. I love this dip and I love that it's lower in calories and fat.
  17. I do almonds mostly. I have to eat them slowly. I can do peanuts and cashews just fine.
  18. I get this pain. I think it means I probably overfilled my little stoma and I'm suffering a bit till it goes through. I think it's normal, well at least I hope it is.
  19. Hey Amber, That is where I had my surgery and it went really well. It's an older hospital and that surprised me, but it went well and fast. Don't use the bathroom when you get there, cause they will need to do a urinalysis thing, I learned that lesson the hard way. It's also outpatient, so be prepared for being surrounded by other people afterwards. Feel free to ask me any questions if you have any! Good luck!
  20. I was a Coke Zero Addict pre-band. Now I do not drink it. I gave it all up on Oct. 24th and haven't gone back. Now I feel like it's a mission, I can't believe I kicked the caffeine and pop, so i hate to give in. My dr. says I can have it, but really I get enough gas without it, I can't imagine with it. I cannot drink anything with food, it gets stuck, ugh.
  21. I have a question about the muscle milk. It says 195 calories with 50 coming from fat and 25g of Protein. Is that decent? I just use a Protein shake in the morning and am running out mine and would like to try something new.
  22. Popcorn is no problem for me either.
  23. My dr. only does a 10CC band. He says it's easier to fill the band exactly where you need it to be.
  24. I'm kind of in the same place as you ladies. I think times of the month can change tightness too. I'm tighter in the a.m. and looser in the evenings. It's so hard to get used to not eating what you want. It's totally what we want, but amazing how you think about food. I feel some discomfort with Protein shakes going down in the a.m., but it does loosen up. Talk to your dr. hugs
