April 2006 Bandits January Challenge
Japan actually is a bit boring, well where I am staying is, there is no tV except CNN and BBC, the shops are bad, I am getting a bit bored, thank goodness for the free internet. Yes I must buy some dry beans I have seen them here somewhere for sale, just is a shame if you only want a few for a salad though. Your run was great, was laughing about your run, and the animals, do you really run like Phoebe, I laughed so hard at that episode. Amourette XX:D

April 2006 Bandits January Challenge
Hi, I am sitting in Japan, after a long day at work today, it is freezing here, so now I understand what you are all dealing with in the States.........there is a nice river next to the hotel so I am going to run along it tomorrow, and walk when I can't run, obviously........ Kat, sorry to hear about your incident, it must have been very scary, I would have freaked, thank goodness you knew what to do. Julie, good luck with the apartment closing, you should show us some photos.......... Betty, the chilli sounds good, it is so hard to get certain foods down our way though, have I told you all about how I lug home cans of pinto and black beans 'cos they are so hard to get here and cost around $4.99 a can!!! Ridiculous don't you think? I brought home some chipotles last week, so looking forward to using those....! Ooooh and there is free internet in this hotel (very unusual) so I will be checking in. Oh and yes I have gone down two uniform sizes and today my trouser and skirt were hanging off me and I will have to change them also, wow, it is soooo exciting! Lov AmouretteXX:D

Aussie Roll Call
HI everyone, I found this thread today, and wanted to introduce myself also. I am Fiona, from Auckland NZ, banded last April 18th in Auckland. I am doing well on my journey, plugging along slowly, have lost 24 kgs so am really pleased. Also have regained interest in life again and started dating (now that's scary hehehe) and love going to the gym again. I am so thankful not to be obsessed about food anymore. Glad to see an aussie thread going on this site, this is a great site, I love it. Hi to you all! XX Amourette!

April 2006 Bandits January Challenge
I went to the gym today and did 50 mins cardio and 20 mins of leg training, I actually enjoyed it as well, I am so glad I am back into the exercise again! I can't believe how much some of you have all lost, I am nowhere near that, but then I guess I had less to lose and it will be slower....(?) I am laughing about all the cold weather discussions, I am overheating her, it is humid in NZ already, I have just rolled up my track pants as I am talking to you, 'cos it is WARM!!!! My problem is that there is no air-conditioning at my gym, isn't it funny!!!! Off to mow my mum's lawns soon, so that is some more exercise!!!! XX Amourette, all have a good day!

April 2006 Bandits January Challenge
I have been reading all the messages, there were so many to catch up on, thanx for the photo Eva, you always look really good. I have just completed my first trip back at work, I went to Honolulu which was a nice start to being back at work and I am about to go to Japan. I am really getting into the exercise soon, but I confess to scoffing some peanut butter m&m's, we don't get them in New Zealand and I couldn't resist buying some, hehehe!! Don't feel guilty though as I don't have a sweet tooth normally. My biggish news is that I went on another date with I guy I met speedating before Xmas, I had been away so we caught up last week and have had two dates, he seems very nice and it may not come to anything, but I am so pleased I forced myself to get back out there. I was sooooo nervous though, I threw up before I went, hehehe!!! I am planning another speed-dating event, but my rosters seem to have me away for the next few ones. My garden is blooming in this early summer heat and I picked my first tomatoes finally today, I normally kill everything in a pot or soil so this is a big achievement for me. Hi to you all, Bye for now Amourette XX I keep trying to download photos for you, but they keep saying they are too big, and I can't seem to reduce them enough to send them, could be a problem with my camera? I will have to sort it out!:tired

April 2006 Bandits January Challenge
hehehe that is NEXT April not this............I am making a conscious effort not to get on scale, I never did before so not too much of a problem.........that is why I don't join the April Bandits Weight Loss , it has to be in my own time and that is healthier for me............ How are you anyway, did you have a nice Xmas, I am trying to upload photos but they seem to be all too large to do so........am working on it, i wrote to Eva and Alison , so hopefully they will reply back! XX Amourette:D

April 2006 Bandits January Challenge
I am only running as my knees will still allow it and I did it before.................if my body starts hurting I will go back to power-walking, I just up the incline and get that heart-rate up, I am only running for the challenge to see whether I can do it again! And I don't run that long, I usually walk when I get puffed, but I am getting better, I prefer going to gym also sometimes as I can use the bike and cross-trainer which are low impact, I think that is a higher priority now! Good to see you in here at this time! AmouretteXX

April 2006 Bandits January Challenge
Hi all, I am back from my vacation in Atanta with my family and adjusting to warm, humid conditions back here in Auckland, New Zealand! Wow, I couldn't believe you have already 6 pages under your sleeves for this thread. i thought about you all while I was away, and checked the messages although I couldn't post. I ran nearly everyday, I was in shock myself, I walk up the hills and run on the flat and downhill..........it was the only exercise I could get and I had to be selfish to do it, but I did! So I have one more week before I go back to my flying, I am relaxing doing nothing and it is great, I am gardening and everything has taken off since I have been away! Had a weigh-in before I left and I had lost a bit more but I am not weighing myself regularly as I will get obsessed and I don't believe it is healthy. I am feeling much fitter and my clothes are fitting well, even bought a pair of tight jeans. I am off on a date this weekend, someone I met before Xmas at the speedating, but I am going to go on another one soon, to try and get my social life up and kicking again! So where is people like Alison from Sth Africa and Efficka, I might PM them and see where they are, i am going to try and load a photo now Love to you all PS Went to the gym today, the firemen were there again working out hehehe, my eye candy..........I am loving running, can't believe I am saying that. I want to reach my goal weight by April 2008 though it seems like it will happen sooner!!! XX Amourette:D :clap2:

April 2006 Bandits December Challenge
Hi all, here is my last post I guess for the December challenge, I have been good here in Atlanta with my food intake and have been running/walking for one hour plus most days.......I asked for one of those rubber bands that you can tone up with, and I have been doing exercises with that! Probably had too much wine in this festive season, but hey, gotta have some vices and I don't have many left hehehe!!!! I signed myself up for speed-dating, it went ok, I will write more about it in the Jan challenge, and I have a date back home in NZ when I get back there from this holiday....... So what are all our New year resolutions? XX Amourette!!!

April 2006 Bandits December Challenge
Wow, Julie you are definitely going to make your goal, I don't think I will make mine which was for next week, but I am less than 2 kg off it anyway. What is your sports bra, I find it so hard to find good ones.......it is a bit frustrating, I really need something supportive, ;cos you know you will regret it later in life if you don't now. I had a great Champion one once. It's hard to find one's that last well though and can take a lot of washing don't you agree? Ok I am off to do my workout now, yesterday the local firemen were there working out so I had a bit of eye candy...........hehehe!!!!

April 2006 Bandits December Challenge
Well I did my workout today, arm weights and 1 hour cardio, I ran a bit more than I usually do so I am definitely improving. Then I went out and bought a new pair of winter boots (it is summer here hahaha), but I need them for Atlanta.......and it was the first time ever I could do a pair of long boots up, hooray for me! THEN.........I had to pay a small bill at surgery and asked if I could jump on the scales and thought I could do it privately but no, the receptionist came also with the charts etc, hehehe and I thought oopps, but yippee I have lost 6 kgs since 20 October, at 1 kg a week that is really good I think, I didn't think I had lost except maybe 1 kg.............so that has made my day, I am 172 cms, 5 ft 7 inches and now 86 kg, 190, down from 92kg! Wow, I am really in onederland now! It makes me so proud to have achieved something 'cos I knew I had been working out hard. Congrats also Bluehill on your achievement!!!! Yipeee!!!! Love to you all from Amourette! OOOHHH did I tell you all I have started dating again...........now that is definitely taking a lot of guts, hahahaha!!!!:omg:

April 2006 Bandits December Challenge
Thank u to you all for your lovely comments.........I nearly cried with emotion, it is one of the first photos I have been happy to post, wow, hasn't the band changed our lives. I am chuffed at the suggestions I look younger than I am as I am having a mid-life crisis, chuckle, chuckle!!! I will definitely get that before shot up in the next couple of days, I am home now and went to the hotel gym like I promised on here, I am so much happier, wow I don't know even where to begin!!!! Another drop in uniform size is definitely on the clear horizon now! Another thing I have been single which is a lot to do with my weight issues, in the last week I have been speed-dating and on an internet date, true I wanted to throw up all day beforehand, but I did it, and wouldn't have had the courage before...................... Today I have a day off after flying in from LA, yes I love flying but it isn't always problem free................it is a life-style I guess, and yes there are times I think......mmm does that sound normal? Betty how old are your grandkids? Dawn how do you exercise in the cold, I would just want to lie in a blanket on the couch sipping hot chocolate with marshmallows hehehe, Julie yeah the flying sucks sometimes, but like I said it is a life-style thing and I have done it 13 years now and I am single which makes it easier,, tell you what though, the band definitely closes over in flight, wow, many PB's from learning how to cope on the long haul sectors............... So off for power walk tomorrow. The weather is getting nice and warm here now, I am off to Atlanta in the states in a week to spend 3 weeks with my sister and my 17 month niece , she is so cute and I miss them both so much!!!!!! XX Amourette:D :)

April 2006 Bandits December Challenge
Wow, sorry all, just don't know where I have been.............I spent last 24 hours catching up on the site and realised how much I missed you all! I am trying to get out a bit more and not spend so much time in the computer especially with the warmer weather approaching. Yes I did finish the November challenge but never posted to say I had, my exercise is steaming along, I am at the gym or power-walking most days, even started some light weights 2 weeks ago. I was a big gym goer for many years but never lost weight as I ate too much hehehe!:rolleyes I have lost a bit more weight, still struggle with PB's sometimes but a lot of things are starting to really click for me. I am hoping my new exercise hobby will help shift a few more. I sent a webcam photo of my face to my sister to say hi the other week and she asked my mum what had been happening as I had lost so much weight, her and her hubby were flabergasted, wow and all from just that one photo? She doesn't know what I have had done as I chose to keep it private. So I am busy with my work at the airline, just two trips to go and then I take my mum to Atlanta to see my sis, her hubby and my gorgeous niece who is 17 months old, I love coming to the states on holiday even though I am there often with work. Wow Betty, you look great, everyone looks fantastic in after shots don't you think, I was in the before/after shots thread and it was soooo amazing, kinda motivated me back on here. Hope to talk soon, I am off to hotel gym now for light work out as I must fly back to New Zealand tonite (13 hour flight):omg: :omg: Love Amourette

A thread for Single Bandsters
Hi all, congrats on all your banding successes!!!:clap2: I was going to start a similar thread, I used to be so confident but haven't really dated seriously in the last 6 years, part of getting the surgery was to change and turn my life around...........I am so scared about dating though, as I can't eat a lot and that seems to be such a social thing, especially when you meet someone, and also terrified of the scar thing, I am such a bad liar.................so nice to know I am not alone...............! XX Amourette!
