Love this. It's so common. I no longer welcome people sharing their 'concerns' with me.

If you read through the thread, it HAS been stated that the OP was not a good candidate and shouldn't have been approved for the surgery if s/he was not willing to work at adopting the habits that lead to success. We're not focusing on that point because it's not helpful now. What's done is done. As I said in an earlier post, if the OP just wants to vent and isn't really interested in advice, then all we can say is "I'm sorry you're having a hard time."
But the OP isn't even 6 months out from surgery, so it's much too early to say the surgery has failed unless the OP is unwilling to make changes. People on BariatricPal are disposed to help, so when someone posts "I don't know what to do", we will jump in and try to help with analysis and advice. From the OP's reaction to that advice, it's become clear that this thread was just intended to vent the OP's frustration and anger. Those feelings are valid, but we can't really help with them except to say that it would be a good idea to seek therapy. Beyond that, almost no one on BariatricPal is going to say "Yes, you're right, the surgery is BS." because too many of us have had it change our lives for the better. So if that's the only thing you and the OP would consider to be supportive, you're both likely to be disappointed. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I disagree that its drastic for anyone with up to 100lb to lose. People have and maintain obesity for many reasons, some quite complex, which is aside from individual factors such as gender, height, age. I am quite short 100lb extra on me is massively obese, whereas, 100lb on a 6ft1 person may well be overweight or just in the early stages of obesity.
What a lot of people don't realise for lighter weight overweight person 25lb or 50lb is just as hard to lose as 100lb or 150lb for those who are more overweight.

Great NSV for me today. I got some blood work back and my A1C dropped to 4.9 and Glucose to 87. This is a huge change for me. In just over 3 months I have lowered my A1C by 2 points, Glucose by 40, Improved blood pressure to 115/70 unmedicated, come off Diabetes meds, Cholesteral meds and Blood Pressure Meds. It is as close to a miracle as I have ever experienced.

When inflammation goes away, it seems like bleeding gums do too. My dental hygentist was very impressed with my gums today.

My winter boots have a decorative strap on the calf that snaps into place. This strap used to always come undone and dangle, necessitating multiple re-snaps every time I wore them. Well, I wore them Monday and the strap did not come undone once. A silly, small moment of joy.

I cut my toenails for the first time since surgery today (don't judge! I usually get pedicures!). It was shockingly easy to contort myself to be able to do it without 60 lbs of stomach in the way!

I had my surgery on 5/18. It's been an amazing journey. I'm down 105 pounds. A size XXL shirt to a medium/large. A size 40 waist to a 33/34. I'm off blood pressure meds and my C-pap machine is history. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I would be in this position just 5.5 months post surgery.

Surgery was May 26th. Down 69 pounds and have lost 52 inches on my body. Down from a tight size 20 to a 14. I am walking/running and doing reformer Pilates for strength. I sometimes still wake up and am convinced I gained it all back overnight. I think it will be a while before my mind realizes this is permanent!!! Still not hungry and no cravings so sometimes it makes it hard for me to figure out what to eat. Thankful that I have had no negative side effects and that I am getting g healthier everyday!

Whole bunch of non-scale victories lately.
    1. I am no longer morbidly obese because my BMI is under 40. Combined with the resolution of my comorbidities, I no longer qualify for surgery. 😁
    2. My A1c is 5.1. A physician friend of mine said he hasn't seen anyone under 5.4 in a long time.
    3. I needed to get into the bed of the ranch truck today and the tailgate was blocked off... so I went over the side using the (not small) tire. My balance is so much better!
    4. I can do burpees like I'm on springs now, at least 10 in a row. Before I would do what are popularly known as "grief burpees" (look it up on Google Video search).
    5. I got in trouble with my sleep doctor. It took me 6 weeks to get a video appointment and my CPAP (technically APAP) was choking me with all the air it was putting out. It's locked down, so I found the manual (in Russian), translated it, guessed the password, and reset the lower bound. I sleep better now (and my suspicion was correct, previous range was 10-20 cm H2O, now that I've lowered it, I average about 8 over a night).
    6. I ran a mile for the first time ever in my entire life. It wasn't very fast (10:26) but it was a real mile and there was no walking or stopping.

Met up with some old school high school friends (who hadn’t seen me throughout my obese period in my 30s and 40s) and they said i still look the same and haven’t changed all these 30+ years. 💪🏼 Ha! Little do they know.:.😜
Also…was fascinated the other day when I discovered that I could get up from sitting cross legged on the floor to a standing position without even using my arms to get up 😳

I had my surgery yesterday November 23rd and it went well. I also had hernia repair at the same time. So far I am not in much pain just a little discomfort. The nurses were surprised at how well I was doing. I drank two bottles of Water. Took me several hours but I got and keep it down. No Nausea and i have I walked every our sometimes twice an hour to help with the gas. For now the gas discomfort is completely tolerable. The worst pain was my throat from the intubation, but still tolerable. I just made my first Bariatric Fusion shake today and so far so good. Just slipping on water in between. I know I will probably have some bad days, but I’m happy the start has been really good.

The night you go to sleep and notice that lying on your side with your knee bones pressing together is really uncomfortable...so you have to put a pillow between your knees because you no longer have the fat cushion. Yep, I'm there! 😂

I retired from the Navy almost 19 years ago and yesterday I was able to fit into my Dress White and Dress Blue uniforms. A year ago I would not even been able to get them over my shoulders, never mind buttoned up.

I was able to climb the ladder to help my husband hang Christmas lights on the house. I used to be more than 100 pounds over the weight limit for that ladder and now I'm 100 pounds UNDER. Also, I couldn't physically climb a ladder even if I wanted to because my stomach was so big it got in the way.

I got my pedicure and realized they could wrap the hot towel around each of my calves instead of having to drape multiple towels over both to try and cover them!
I was also able to wear my oldest daughter's sweater!

My BMI was 36 and my insurance covered the surgery. After years of yo-yo dieting and being miserable, I opted for surgery and am so happy I did.
Namiland - I suggest you get another doctor's opinion. There are many supportive, encouraging and caring drs out there. The arrogant ones you can do without! Good Luck!
