May Surgeries - check in!
The powder version does not have caffeine. They sell it on Amazon.

Congratulations. Glad to hear you are feeling pretty well. Good luck on your journey.

May Surgeries - check in!
I gained some. I was afraid I was going to be one of the people who had a hard time eating certain things afterwards but that is definitely not the case. In fact my husband and I went to roadhouse to celebrate my father (who has passed away) on Father’s Day and we split a cheeseburger. I am three and a half months out and I ate half of my half (a quarter) and was stuffed to the brim but I didn’t have any issues with the hamburger or the bread even. Any yes I know that bread is not a good choice in the losing phase but this was a one time thing (we never eat out) and I skipped a snack to make up for the calories.

Premiere protein makes cafe latte that you may like as well. The ready made ones have caffeine in them but the powder form does not. Just as another option.

Chips
Not certain if they will compare to Cheetos. They are more like Doritos if anything. Hopefully you like them as much though.

Once a year for the rest of forever
One good thing about COVID happening is that telehealth is much more common now. If I were you and this happens I would have your new primary care doc order labs at your annual visit and then send a copy to your surgery center and do telehealth appt with them.

Tracking App
I use Baritastic also.

Chips
Just found out that Target carries quest products and surprisingly they are cheaper than Walmart. They have 4 packs so you don’t have to buy 8 or 12 to get the lower Amazon price and right now they are an additional 25% off if you order online and do pick up which I highly recommend. It was super easy and quick if you check in to tell them your on your way. They carry several of the flavors of the chips and their protein bars and cookies, etc. They are quite yummy and with the protein they are actually filling.

July 2021 Surgery People!
Congratulations to all the July surgery dates.

Nutritional facts
You can usually find restaurant food on their websites and food you cook at home you can plug the ingredients into an app such as Baritastic.

This waiting game is no fun
It sort of reminds me of signing up for college classes. The hoops you go through to get signed up, financing, acquiring books, etc is often more difficult than the classes themselves. Makes you sort of wonder if they make it hard on purpose sometimes. Obviously they don’t but it is a necessary part of the process. Just keep pushing forward and know that it will all be worth it in the end.

Approved and Anxious!
Congratulations on getting approval. Have you tried any of the clear protein drinks? They were a godsend for me right after surgery cause all the protein shakes were too sweet.

Help with the math
Mine required six “visits” so it only took 5 months but every insurance is different. I would just call the person who deals with insurance at your clinic.
-
Surgery Date is Set!
Congratulations on your surgery date. Just stick to your plan and don’t compare your progress to others. Trust the process and you will do great.
-
Knees
Mine have started hurting less and I have only lost 40 pounds. I did, however start surgery process right when knees started hurting so I don’t think I did any permanent damage.

July 2021 Surgery People!
Congrats on your surgery date.

My surgery was aborted
I am so sorry to hear that your surgery didn’t go on as planned. Some time has passed now, I hope you have wrapped your mind around it now and are committed to losing the extra bit of weight so that you can get your surgery and reach your goals. I know it will not be easy but I believe that you can do it and it will just be that much weight you don’t have to lose AFTER surgery. You have come so far already…don’t just give up.

Weight loss
My joint issues were just beginning because of my weight and trying to exercise made it worse pre surgery. But 40 pounds lighter now and I have found the treadmill to be less stressful on my knees already. Hopefully as you lose some weight you will find it easier and more possible to get some exercise in.

Anybody not working out??
Good for you. Being able to start PT is an Awesome non scale victory.

June Surgeries
My protein shakes counted towards my liquid goal.

Anybody not working out??
I am three months out and have not been able to motivate myself to exercise either. I need to though as I am also able to eat larger portions and feel like I may be close to putting myself into maintenance if I can’t cut back on the snacks. At least the weight loss has slowed WAY down already and I am nowhere near goal.

Stomach to my legs down are numb.
I agree this could be unrelated but could be something serious if left untreated. I would see someone as soon as possible.
