  1. All insurance is different. Mine accepted medical records from another doctor prior to satisfy part of the required visits. That’s a question for the bariatric coordinator I believe. Ooh, and it’s six visits not six months (at least it was for mine) so that only takes five months from your first visit. Hopefully that will help. I had one visit with my primary doctor that qualified so I had to do 5 visits taking 4.5 months from first appointment to surgery date.
  2. One thing I took that I was really glad I did was an extra long charging cord I ordered on Amazon that charged iPad and phone.
  3. It could also be that you are focused more on water if you weren’t before.
  4. As far as I know you are only allowed to eat what they give you at the hospital. Mine was broth and crystal light. The nurses had water and popsicles and stuff like that.
  5. I agree, if you must go back to protein shakes. I have the premiere protein caffe latte ever morning for breakfast. It does have caffeine though not sure if that is okay on your plan.
  6. Congrats on your surgery. Hang in there. It gets a little easier each day.
  7. That was smart. Last thing you want is a reason to get held up while traveling.

I would ask the surgeon in detail what they will do to prevent clots and then either explain it to family or ask someone to go with you and have surgeon help explain.
  9. Did you set any NON scale goals for yourself?? My dr had me fill out a form with such goals for times of stalls.
  10. I love to see these before and afters. Such a transformation. Congratulations!!!
  11. Take Wellbutrin. It causes excessive sweating without even working out. Just kidding but seriously did you also change any medications cause that really could be why.
  12. Greek yogurt also makes a good dip if you add in ranch dressing mix.
  13. It really just depends on the surgeons schedule. I know someone who was self pay at my clinic and they were sleeved within 2.5 weeks of Their initial consult. I think that was just so they could do the preop diet.
  14. I brought my iPad logged into Netflix and that was more than enough to occupy me the little time I was awake and not walking or drinking or eating (broth).
  15. I had to watch a video, they gave me surgical soap to bath with before surgery and I had to sign some papers.
  16. I hate it too. Sams club is even worse.
  17. I have started with the stuff that I don’t really like or that will not be in style and put things that are really expensive or I liked a lot into vacuum sealed bags labeled with the sizes. I figure them I can go through and donate more as I get further and further out from each size.
  18. 60 pounds is definitely noticeable. Perhaps it’s harder to see with the baggy clothes. Maybe they are more baggy than you realize.
  19. I don’t know about the Lao band removal part but many of us who get the sleeve have very minimal pain. I had nothing other than my stomach felt like I did about 1000 crunches.
  20. I was the same way. I could always eat or drink more than I should for that stage. I have just stuck with the portions I was supposed to be eating and I have lost 50 pounds at 4.5 months post op and the weight is slowly but surely still coming off. You should be just fine.
  21. Glad to hear you are doing okay. I woke up from surgery with my additional binder on and they said I could take it off whenever I wanted as it was just for mY comfort. I took it off when I got home and didn’t notice any difference.
