  1. If you ate candy at only 5 days post op you would have been extremely sick. I hope that you are not doing this to yourself. Please contact your doctor.
  2. Not sure how different the sleeve surgery & bypass are. I had the bypass and was very sick for the 1st month. I couldn't eat, or drink anything without being nauseous. I had to go on a script of a nauseous patch. The 2nd month improved a little, every month after that has improved. I am now almost 6 months post op and doing very good. Keep in mind that everyone is different.
  3. Wow 5 days. That is a long time. I guess I will just have to be patient.
  4. 2 oz isn't enough of my favorite...lol
  5. I had to do a 6 month program also. I think most insurance requires it.
  6. Oh I will have to try this one. Is it sold by this site?
  7. The only thing that used to help my belly aches before surgery was drinking ginger ale. Now I found that Altoids helps. I would love to try a sip of ginger ale too.
  8. I had it before my surgery, and do not have it anymore. Weird?
  9. Not sure about the sleeve? I was 216 lbs. with type 2 diabetes, had a C-Pap machine to breathe while sleeping, asthma and a few other things. I qualified for the bypass. I don't know if every insurance is the same. My insurance covered it in full.
  10. Ohhhh noooo. This is not good news. I thought maybe if I waited long enough I could enjoy more of it. Do you eat pork chops? I haven't tried those yet.
  11. Has anyone on here tried the bariatric pal protein pancakes? I tried them this morning for the 1st time. I was mixing it up, and said to myself, well I would have to have 2 of these envelopes. Yeah right, I couldn't even finish the 1 pancake it made. I only ate 3/4th of it, and was stuffed.
  12. I want to taste diet coke just so I can see if I even still like it. I am afraid if I do then I will want it all the time.
  13. This is probably one of the only types I have not tried yet. I will have to try it.
  14. Yah, your right. I was quoted $3k for each treatment. It would include 3 "areas" which are middle belly, and both sides. That is what you count as areas. OMG!! Then you have to have multiple sessions. Ok so that idea is gone. LOL
  15. Sounds extremely expensive. I was told that any cosmetic surgery was not covered by insurance?
  16. I have also tried Hint and didn't care for it. I tried the infusing also and don't care for it either. I know I am being picky...at least that is what my hubby says.
  17. Your luck that you don't find them yucky like me.
  18. I do not like it at all. I know everyone is different, but I look weird.
  19. Doesn't make me feel better...LOL I do not like this shape.
  20. My absolute favorite meat is steak. Filet Mignon to be specific. I waited until now, almost 6 months post op to try to eat it. I could only eat 3 small bites, and it felt like lead in my belly. I was so full, and felt sick afterwards. How long did everyone wait to eat it? Is it too soon? Maybe I should have waited like a yr.?
  21. I have huge bins up in my attic ranging in sizes 2XL, 18/20 (my biggest size) to size Large. I am currently wearing medium. I was glad I saved all my clothes over the years. I was up & down in weight. I was so happy when I went thru the bins to find bras that were able to get me from there to about a month ago. I did however, skip a size on this weight loss journey. I recently tried on some shirts that I bought in a size Large and they are already to big. I am pissed because I never even got to wear them, and they were brand new. Oh well...in the bins they go.
  22. Did you have skin removal surgery?
  23. I think your right. I was also apple shaped when I was obese. I never heard of rectangle either. That sucks to know there is nothing that can be done about it.
  24. Oh ok, I don't know all these abbreviations just yet. I am fairly new. TY
