  1. I am SO sorry this has happened to you! Have you thought about going to see another doctor? Maybe see if there is anything someone else can do. It is terrible that your surgeon is allowing you to live with this situation. Keep your head up and I'm sending positve and healthy vibes your way.
  2. I think almost everyone on here will say they experienced that. Chewing is crucial in not getting foods stuck, so try your hardest to make sure you are throughly chewing. Also when was your 2nd fill? It could be too early to have things like that. I hope your feeling better, and good luck to you.
  3. I can actually wear a seat belt in other people's cars without feeling like I am going to die of strangulation. lol
  4. This is the me when you are going through bandster hell. Some people lose no weight until they get their first fill, others lose a little. It is different with everyone. Relax, recover, get your first fill and think positive.
  5. Have you discussed any of this with your surgeon? This does not sound normal, and it will probably be in your best interest to get it checked out! Good luck and keep us posted!
  6. I love all of these shows, especially Ruby! She is such an inspiring person, and it really motivates me when I watch her. I can relate to a lot of the struggles she has faced on her journey, and it gives me hope, hope for the future!
  7. Congrats. I hope your pregnancy journey is healthy and happy!
  8. I did use yogurt as well. The drinkable ones are less thick , so they are probably easier to go down, which would be a good choice. good luck to you!
  9. Thats the great thing about lapband, you can still be normal, but a healthier normal! Good luck on your journey!
  10. I agree, try finding a local fill doctor, and see where you can go from there. Good luck to you, sending positive vibes your way.
  11. Congrats and good luck to you!
  12. You go girl! keep up the awesome work!
  13. Well having that stuck feeling really sucks, everyone experiences it though. I know not very fun. My doc has you wait at least a week or two after a fill to see if it is too much. I mean if you are not able to get anything down , he will do an unfill, but if you are able to eat some things, try that for a couple of days, probably more of a mushie diet. I hope it gets better and if not get on that phone and call your doc. good luck
  14. congrats and good luck on your journey!
  15. GAS X strips, they are the best! lol and again, walk, walk, walk.
  16. definitely! get ready for burping and hiccuping. That is a mainstay in my life now, lol. They do hurt when first banded, but it will get better. Try gas x strips, they will be a lifesaver, and walking will help as well.
  17. I would definitely call your doctor. But remember this is still rerally new, your body is going through shock, and it does take time to get over. Take your time eating, try sticking to lighter, mushie foods, and rest. Good luck to you, it WILL get better.
  18. I was also the first surgery of the day. I was actually more reassured about that because I figured my surgeon would be more awake and less tired then he would be if I was his 3rd surgery of the day. Relax, enjoy the preperation of your new happier and healthier life. BTW bring a pillow for the ride home, so you can hug it when going over bumps. Good luck, keep us posted.
  19. Congrats to you bot on being banded and entering the chapter of fills. Good luck to both of you!

  21. Awesome! Congrats on the start of a happier and healthier you!
  22. It's definitely tough to wait for something you want so bad. Use this time though, learn everything you can about the lapband, the good, the bad, the ugly. Find out everything, that way you never worry that you missed something. Good luck and keep us all posted!
  23. 30 LBS!!!! Awesome!!!!! Congrats on entering band land, good luck on your future.
  24. I tried on some pants today that are 3 sizes smaller then what I was wearing , and they fit!!!!!!! I am super excited!!! Great job to everyone out there!
