Felt Normal Yesterday

Hi everyone! I haven't gone back to work yet so I haven't resumed my 'normal' routine. Anyway, my best friend who moved away a couple years ago is in town. We went to the movies. We saw The Hangover (hilarious, btw!!!). Then we went out to lunch. My first time eating out since surgery. We went to Applebee's. I had the tomato bisque Soup and a turkey club sandwich. I peeled the turkey and cheese off and rolled them up to eat. Then we went to Barnes and Noble and sat and read. I had half of a tall iced caramel macchiato. I should not have had that as my surgeon doesn't allow caffeine for the first month. But today is exactly four weeks so I hardly even jumped the gun on that. I only drank half so it was about 90 calories.

I felt 'normal'. I want to be normal. I don't want to be the obese person who can't do things or not eat things because of her weight. Does that make sense?? It was such a nice day.

Thats the great thing about lapband, you can still be normal, but a healthier normal! Good luck on your journey!

Yes I totally want the same thing. I cant wait to feel normal. Right now I dont even feel like I have a band b/c of no restriction, but I know when I do have restriction I want the same thing as you; to be able to eat what I want, just not to over eat.
