  1. Good Luck with your surgery Renee!!!!
  2. You have to remember you are in bandster hell. Bandster hell is the time from surgery til your first fill. Some people lose weight during this period, some people don't. Keep watching what your eating , start incorporating exercise, when it is safe Post op, and once you get your first fill you should start losing again. Great job for the 25 pounds already lost! Thats definitely a great beginning!!! Good luck to you.
  3. Hi Renee, Congrats on being approved. I hope you recieve your date very soon! Who is your surgeon Haag, or Fiallo??? They are both great. Hope everything goes well!
  4. The feeling I get is like an intense pressure in the area where the beginning of my stomach begins. It is very uncomfortable. Once you feel it once you will know. The way I describe it to people is if you have ever swallowed soda and it goes down wrong and you feel a pain in your chest and back. Hope that helps.
  5. I did not take any of them, but if you decide to I would consult with your doctor just to make sure. Good luck!
  6. Thank you for sharing! Very motivating!

  8. I am not really sure, but I know a lot of people have used this;www.fillcentersusa.com Good luck to you, and congrats on being banded!
  9. You are doing the right thing. It is only human to be nervous, but do not let your fear keep you from this amazing life change. Nothing that is worthwhile is easy so remember that. Expect it to hurt a little, there may be gas, but think of what the future will bring because of this. Keep your head up and stay positive! Congrats on the start of a happier and healthier you!
  10. Hi Amy, There are definitely many of us out there who are going through the same thing you are. Number one you have to want to do this for you. Make your health your priority. There are also many of us who see a psych even after the surgery, which I believe helps witht the process. A lot of post op issues are related to "mental" issues with food, your mind tells you one thing, but your body tells you another. It is really hard to break habits, and EVERYONE goes through that. Search around and find a psych that you like, one who will help you. It might also help to see a nutritionist so you can come up with some better ideas then eating anything in site. As far as having support LBT is an amazing site that has some of the most supportive people I have ever met, use that. We all are connected here and have struggled with weight. I can also relate as far as the amount of weight to lose. I have about 250 lbs to lose, which seems crazy how I will ever do it. I try and break it into small goals, 10 lbs at a time and it seems to help. How about another fill, have you talked to your doctor about your issues? Maybe another fill will give you the headstart you will need. Any way I can help you I definitely will, email me any time. I wish you good luck on your journey, and remember we are all in this together!

  14. Try adding some protein powder to your water so at least you are getting calories that way. Even though you feel lousy try getting up and moving more, that might help a little. I sure hope you get the answers you need.
  15. Are you following the proper diet guidelines, are you up and moving? Are you getting enough fluids in? You dont want to be dehydrated! drink, drink, drink.
  16. Try gas-x strips and make sure you are walking a lot, that will help you get rid of some of the gas. Good luck to both of you and congrats!
