started preop diet today appetite suppressant question

Just started pre-op diet today. I cut back to 1000 calories last week to prepare for the 800 over the next 2 weeks. My question is. Did anyone take any of the over the counter appetite suppresants during this phase? Just curious. My intention is to just suck it up but if anyone has tried anything that worked it would be good to know. Thanks,
