  5. Hi I am having trouble finding a band-friendly trainer in my area :tongue_smilie: The first one I spoke with is a newbie (also a relative) and he did some "research" with his mentor and trainer. His response was "Lap-Banders never exercise, so there is no data" Second one I went to at our local YMCA was asking me questions and when I mentioned I had a lap-band, her response was "how soon can you get it out??" I cut her off right there. Anyone else have a hard time with this? I know my limitations and will stop if I am tired. I'd love to hear some tips Thanks!
  6. I have 4 year old twins, I wish I could still be in bed at that time  We are going to make a day of it and go to the ROM after.

  14. I was banded on a Thursday and went back to work Monday, but only because I had to, I felt like poo After the 5th day, things started to improve :wink2:
  15. I have lots of healthy snacks too, but for school lunches I have to pack stuff that doesn't have nut etc.. So there are granola bars, oatmeal cookies.. Those are temptation enough..lol
  16. Hi Love; I am doing OK.. I really need another fill as I find myself grazing for food.. usually bad food I have 4 year old twins, so snack foods are all too easy to find in my house... I have lost weight, but I still want to feel more in control.. Right now i have 5cc in my band.. I have alot of first bite syndrome and have pain, but it subsides and I can eat. I am going to do a fill maybe tomorrow or Friday (i do remote fills at my work) Good to hear from you and congrats on the loss!
  17. I have psoriasis and was banded July 10/08. So far i haven't noticed a difference  I am also hoping my hair doesn't fall out because it is most severe on my scalp  I'd like to hear other peoples answers as well

  19. I did show a loss since surgery, so i am happy. I was sitting in the back row beside a couple. Jody's delivery was sorta interesting. I did discover that I should not be drinking my Breakfast..lol I am scheduled for my second fill Aug 26 but I have quite a bit of restriction now (i did before first fill too) We shall see what the next 2 weeks bring...
  20. Hi Love; I was at TLBC on Monday too for my first fill and the seminar, Stephanie was awesome! The fill room scale was the same as my home scale, so that made me happy

  24. What are your challenges so far? My big challenge is drinking enough fluids. I have always been bad at this and I am struggling to drink enough. I also have to stop obsessively weighing myself :cool2: I feel pretty good now, but have gotten stuck a couple of times and had 1 sliming incident. I have my first fill next Monday.
  25. I took mine out. Mine is open and really well healed so now I only wear my navel rings for "special" occasions  It stretched to oblivion when I was pregnant with my twins, but it looks OK now. I had to take out my tongue ring for my c-section and that closed up within an hour  That sucked.. For my band I took out all my jewelry. It can get lost, get inside your body, conduct electricity etc.
