  2. I'm only 10 days post op, so pretty close to you in the process but I've not had any troubles getting liquids down. I never felt full at all with liquids. I started adding yogurt in yesterday and it's the first I've noticed starting to feel a little "full" before finishing the cup. I can tell you I have a LOT of head cravings but no true hunger I don't think. That having been said, I'm frigging sick of liquids. Soo ready to move on to purees Monday.

  4. I'm 10 days post op. I struggle with fluids when I just do water. I'm still on full liquids so I've been doing a couple of protein drinks a day, broth, and then getting the last little bit with water. That's probably not very helpful, but if you hear better pass it on to me too!
  5. I'm 9 days post op. I start purees in a few days and was wondering if anyone has some recipes? I'm dreading this, pureed food doesn't seem overly appealing. I'm hoping to make the next stage palatable

  7. I am pre-op. My surgery is 10/26. They gave mr the bariatric advantage high protein meal replacement powders. I'm to drink four a day. It's partially taste, partially consistency but I'm barely choking one a day down. I have a bunch of premier protein shakes of various flavors ready to go for after surgery. I like them. I just don't know how I'm going to get through the next 8 days.
  8. And absolutely frigging starving. I've not eaten in five days. I'm not getting down as much of the protein shakes as I'm supposed to because they're gagging me and I can't get them down. I'm so hungry. I'm tempted to find something to eat but really trying to be strong. This sucks. I have 8 days to go. #miserable

  11. I'm on day 4 of two weeks. Do you get to eat? I know different docs have different plans. For me it's just the stupid hpmr shakes. I've been drinking a ton of beef broth though to try to feel less starved. Seems like the hot liquid helps a little. I hate the shakes. I've been mixing them with frozen fruit but it doesn't help the taste. I'm gonna try some fresh fruit in them.

  14. I've been struggling with the water as well. Hang in there! You can do it!
  15. Lol. Thanks for the laugh
  16. That's a good idea. I just added sugar free jello to the grocery list for tonight. Fingers crossed.
  17. That would be wonderful. We can support one another along the way
  18. Today is day 2 of my 2 week pre-op liquid diet. I'm to have four shakes per day. To be honest, I'm friggin hungry. And I'm consumed with thoughts of food. My surgery is on 10/26. I figured this would be the hardest part, but man it sucks. Anyone else out there?
