2 weeks post op

Recommended Posts

I drink sugar free Powerade and use sugar free drink mixes like Crystal Light. It's helpful for me to drink flavored water. I used to be a gulper, which was easy with unflavored Water but I have a hard time sipping it. Oh, also, broth is a good way to get more water in if you don't care much for the sweeter flavors. Another thing that helps me is having an insulated cup that will keep my drink hot or cold, that I can just sip on all day. I also count everything water-based toward my water intake for the day.

Best of luck to you!

I'm 10 days post op. I struggle with fluids when I just do Water. I'm still on full liquids so I've been doing a couple of Protein Drinks a day, broth, and then getting the last little bit with water. That's probably not very helpful, but if you hear better pass it on to me too! :)

I loss 19 pounds my first 7 days post op 🙌🏽 (Water weight or real weight.. weight is weight to me.. I’ll take it lol) I make sure I keep my water with me 24.7 and I walk every chance I get. I cook dinner for my kids with no problems. I have zero cravings!  By next week I should be in the 200’s. Haven’t been there since high school 🥲

Well, starting day 2 after surgery. Felling hunger pains again this morning and nausea, no vomiting. I think the hunger pains are coming from my stomach and not my pouch. Think I will call their hotline and speak with them about it. It is not terribly bad but it is uncomfortable. I do not regret getting the surgery though. I expected some discomfort right after, I just didn't expect the hunger pains.

I have two initial consultations coming up. November 30th I am traveling to Richmond Virginia to VCU and on December 2nd I am consulting with a bariatric surgeon in Salem Virginia.
Let's hope my insurance is good for this decision.
I wanted an extended tummy tuck but I cannot justify the out of pocket expense yet. Pray for me.
