5 years post op and have huge REGRET!
Yeah I'm confused how you could do a nissen on a sleeved stomach, as there's like nothing at the top of the stomach to work with. Regardless, hope you can get a Roux and feel better soon!

July 2020 Surgery anyone?
I'm really looking forward to my soft food stage, I'm hoping that will help me feel more satisfied. I just hate feeling like I'm one of the people who experiences no change with their cravings or feelings of hunger. I was looking forward to not being interested in food! [emoji24]

July 2020 Surgery anyone?
I'm 4 days out and just now feeling like the pain is manageable. I agree with the new stomach sensations. My tum is always gurgly and rumbly now, which I feel like I used to associate with hunger. So I'm feeling like I'm always hungry, even though I'm 100% sure that I'm not. It's quite annoying. Did anyone else go through that a few days after surgery? Did it go away? I hate feeling like I'm hungry constantly!

Protein shakes
I love Ghost and Premier. Ghost has some super fun flavors and they are in the nutritional parameters that my program follows.

Obsessively thinking about my upcoming surgery
Ask for the Versed. It's the one that makes you forget so you don't remember jumping off the OR table(kidding kidding) but really, it's the good stuff. I'm also SUPER anxious about it, and the worse part is that I work in the surgery center that I'm having my surgery.[emoji849] Anyway, I'm just going to try to focus on the positives that will happen post surgery, and yes keep my eyes closed once I get in there!

July 2020 Surgery anyone?
I just had my date moved up to this Wednesday. [emoji15] I am so stinking nervous, and I literally assist on these operations for a living. [emoji849] Reading all of the previous July-ers helps! Hope you all are well!

Help I cheated on preop diet.
My diet just has me fasting the day before and that's it. I wouldn't sweat it too much, but stick to what he's said from here on out, obvs. You'll be okay!

Gastric sleeve with Blossom Bariatrics
You could try Weightwise in Oklahoma. It's where I'm going and so far I like them. I think it's 10 for everything but they're nice and it wouldn't be as far of a drive!

Paying for WLS
I paid for as much as I could with my savings (which wasn't very much[emoji23][emoji24]) and then did the rest with care credit. Thankfully my hospital participates in the no interest program with care credit. My only thought to you would be to be wary of care credit if your hospital isn't part of the no interest program as their interest in my opinion is a little high, and I think you could get a better deal maybe with just an old fashioned personal loan. I'd def compare interest rates. Oh! And I think a few credit cards have a no interest for x amount of months deal you could look into? Just a few thoughts.

Sounds like he's pretty qualified! I think you'll do great no matter what you choose!

Please help me figure out surgeries!
I really don't think there's a wrong answer here, just my opinion. All of the operations have their own pro and con lists! The only thing I can add here, and I'm not at all discounting your surgeons experience or technique, but I've got some experience in a surgery center that does weight loss stuff and I'm not sure I'd be a pioneer patient for a DS. There's a lot that goes into it technique wise. Just my two cents! But you seem really committed to finding success and I think that's the most important thing no matter what you choose. [emoji4]

I Think I Need to Resume Antidepressants
I've been on Wellbutrin forever and nobody will make me stop. Although I am worried about my ability to swallow pills after my surgery. However, just be an advocate for your mental health! Sometimes it takes a LONG time to trial different medications to see how it will affect your mind and body. But just stick with it. I really hope you feel better soon!

Abnormal EKG?! :-(
I also had an abnormal EKG, but they didn't specify what exactly was abnormal. They scheduled an appointment with a cardiologist for me and he did it on his machine, and it was perfectly fine. He also listened to my heart etc and pretty much said I was good to go. So I'm not sure if EKG machines can give out weird readings sometimes that aren't actually an issue? But there are more tests they can put you through to determine if there was an issue. I'd probably wait until you have that visit before you worry! Chances are everything is okay!

Beginning BMI 35 or under
I'm 207 and 5'4" so a lot of times I think maybe if I just tried harder I could lose the weight. But we all know it isn't going to stay off, even if I did. So I'm about to get sleeved July 13. I'm super nervous but I know it's the right choice.
