  1. Yep! It's crazy! This site is definitely a big help [emoji173]
  2. Lol just about everything has been making me salivate lol I never realised how many food commercials they show on t.v. until these past few weeks
  3. January 8 was my surgery, and I'm also still on liquids until the 23rd. No nausea or anything so I'm happy about that, just super ready to be able to eat something of substance (can't wait to have an egg for some reason)
  4. Oh man, I'm right there with you. 7 days post op and my head is playing some crazy games! Today I was able to get more protein in than previous days and it definitely did seem to help. Also completely sick of liquids with one more week to go...
  5. Possibly sciatica. Mine was bothering me after laying too much in the hospital the first day. Your best bet is to stretch it and walk walk walk! Good luck!
  6. You may get lucky with the binder, I woke up from surgery with one on and got to take it home. I do wish I had a second to wear while I wash this one though so you're more prepared than I was! Best of luck!
  7. Awesome thank you, it's definitely more comfortable on than off
  8. You look great!!! Congratulations!!
  9. Oh that looks yummy!
  10. How long did you guys and gals wear your binder? Honestly it feels great to have on but I'm worried my back and abdominal muscles will weaken if I wear it for too long. Any insight is appreciated, thanks in advance!
  11. Hey surgery twin!! Its funny, today is the first day I've felt like posting here since surgery as well! Looks like we are on the same pace!! I've mainly been tolerating only water and broths since I've gotten home, but today, like you, I've gotten some protein drink and tomato soup down. (Boy was I craving that tomato soup, let me tell you!). Pain isn't too bad, seems more internal than the actual incisions (I had a hernia fixed as well) but overall not unbearable. I've been taking pain killers as prescribed but will be done with them tomorrow at 10 am as ordered. Wondering though if anyone has experience taking 500mg Tylenol tablets? They seem so large but that is what I'm supposed to take after tomorrow. Anyway, glad you made it through! We have got this!! [emoji173]
  12. [emoji23]I was the same way, unfortunately my 18 month old came down with it right after Christmas (a step family member brought their heavily coughing kid to Christmas eve)... let's just say I was not happy!
  13. Had the same issue 2 days before my sleeve on 1/8. I am prescribed chewable 250 mg vitamin C and literally took 6 a day for those two days. On the morning of surgery I was still a bit sniffly but they went ahead since there was no fever. Good luck!!
  14. Yep!! We definitely got this!!!
  15. I am right there with you! Just got the call to be there at 6:30 am! We will do great [emoji173][emoji173] I'm also very nervous and a worry wort but I'm trying my hardest just to keep a positive mindset... good luck!!!
  16. I'm close, I'm the 8th [emoji3]
  17. Hello!! I have just recently found this forum, and boy am I glad!! I'm having VSG on January 8 in Pennsylvania with Dr. Asad. I've also been on the pre op liquid diet since January 2, 4 protein shakes daily and lots of water only... not fun but I'm getting through!! My starting weight in April was 270, I'm at 258 currently, and hope to make it eventually to my goal of 170 after surgery. Anyhow, it's very nice to get to meet people going through the same things that I am, can't wait to see all of our results!! [emoji173]
