Sorry to hear that are you getting enough protein

I was very hungry in the first 2 weeks after surgery but at about week 4 when I was allowed to go back to the gym my hunger decreased about 90% and since then I have good days and some days that are so so!!!!!!! Overall, this has been a great process for me and I wake up each day with a fight in my eyes that tells me that I never want to go back to the days of overeating and having health issues due to eating whatever I want and whenever I want to.... It is a process and you will find what works for you in this process... So just stay the course and follow the instructions from your healthcare team.... Also, major key for me was you have to want this process to work and fight everyday to make it work for you... Good luck to you and keep us posted...

It's more than likely head hunger. Even now one year post-op I rarely, if ever, feel "hungry" but my head hunger triggers me to eat sometimes.

I occasionally feel stomach hungry, but it's usually because I haven't been sipping enough water or getting enough protein. I'm still on my clear liquids stage, so I hear you about being tired of them.

Hang in there. A lot of it is probably head hunger too- you're used to eating, and your head is yelling at you that you need food even though your body doesn't. I'm still working on figuring out between the two, so I know it's difficult to tell sometimes. :)

Why am I still hungry guys? Five days post op- pain still there. Swallowing just fine. Tired of Clear Liquids. [emoji30]

Oh man, I'm right there with you. 7 days post op and my head is playing some crazy games! Today I was able to get more protein in than previous days and it definitely did seem to help. Also completely sick of liquids with one more week to go...
