  1. I suffer from insomnia so the night before surgery I pretty much didn't sleep, even when I wasn't worried at all about the surgery. Good luck!!!
  2. Sweetener lol my spelling is terrible
  3. I'm looking to switch to a healthier sweetner. Currently I'm using splenda and equal which I know is pretty unhealthy. I looked into monk fruit but it is very expensive. Any other cheaper options out there?
  4. Yups I agree. Since joining BP, I've been much more motivated.
  5. It definitely is only a phase. Your body is going through some major changes and your hormones are out of whack. Just give yourself a bit more time and it will get better!! Good Luck
  6. I find that when I have those late night cravings I drink a coffee with sweetner and that usually helps. like @ms.sss said if I still want it after about half hour I'll have some.
  7. Yup forgot to write that. I drink around 80 oz fluids including 50 oz of water with lemon and cayenne (I hate plain water)
  8. I had loads of those PO and they never caused me any problems
  9. After much controversy out there on CICO and macronutrients, I spoke to my dr. DISCLAIMER: THIS IS ALL OPINION AND NOT FACTS A little background: I have always struggled with my weight since I was a kid. I started dieting as young as 11 years old. After graduating High School I weighed in the 260's and was really unhappy with myself. I had a terrible relationship with food and would go from starving to overeating. I decided to have the sleeve done. I did the sleeve at age 19 in Aug 16, 2017. At first I did great the weight slipped off quickly, but what i didn't realize is that i was losing weight without eating properly. I didn't really track my foods after 6 months and ate whatever I wanted. A little less than 2 years out I realized that I had some regain and again started with yoyo dieting. Instead of dieting I needed to find a new way of living. One of the main things they will tell you out there is to do something you can stick to long term. Otherwise the weight will come back up. What I have decided together with doc: I will aim for 1200-1400 cals a day, minimum 60g of protien and maximum 100g of healthy wholegrain carbs, we discussed carbs for a long time, basically as long as you eat wholegrain healthy carbs and some fruits without going crazy it should not cause me to gain weight. And since I want this to be a lifelong way of living, I have to do something that I can stick too. Although keto in the past has helped me lose weight quickly, I cant stick to it. I will also be adding 1 cheat day every 2 weeks in which I can have up to 1600 cals and must hit my protien goal first.( this is so that there is no food that I can "never have again") Bottom line - I will try to stick to these guidelines and see what happens. I will post weekly updates on how I'm doing. STATS: 5'2" / 28 months PO sleeve / HW 275 / LW since sleeve 165 / CW 176
  10. 28 months PO / 5'2" / CW 176 Sun dec 29 -------------------------------------------------------------------- I really struggled yesterday. But in the end I thankfully stuck my ground. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Breakfast: coffee and milk / mozzarella cheese Lunch: lavish roll with eggs and spinach Snack: pastrami cold cuts Dinner: ground beef with broccoli / dill pickle Snack: coffee with milk / almond flour cookie --------------------------------------------------------------------- Totals- 1403 cals / 110g protein / 40g net carbs / 85g carbs --------------------------------------------------------------------- After all information out there on macronutrients and calories started to really confuse me, I spoke to my dr. Basically bottom line is (what she told me) there is no "one size fits all" when it comes to nutrition. I will be starting a thread to explain more in detail what we discussed.
  11. So how exactly does intermittent fasting work. There is no way I can start the day without my coffee. I tend to skip breakfast a lot, but the coffee I just need my coffee. [emoji2]
  12. I have a crazy fear of cutting out carbs. Last time I completely cut out carbs. I ended up gaining like crazy the minute I ate some carbs. Therefore i added some healthy wholegrain carbs. I still keep my carbs pretty low, averaging under 60g net carbs. All these eating options are driving me insane. I'm so confused what to do. I guess it will take some trial and error to figure out what works for me. I work a 9-5 job (making food prep difficult) I'm also a very picky eater. AND most of all I just love to eat!!
  13. Which new balance sneakers is good for flat feet I'm so confused by all the names
  14. Don't think it would work for me. I'm constantly hungry, I feel like this would be even harder for me to stick to. I need something I can do long term.
  15. 28 months PO/ 5'2" / CW 177 Fri dec 27 --------------------------------------------------------------------- Breakfast: coffee with milk Lunch: flax roll with eggs Snack: salmon with jalapeno Dinner: chicken soup / beef sausage / pastrami cold cuts Snack: healthy habits popsicle / peanut butter --------------------------------------------------------------------- Totals- 1363 cals / 88g protein/ 62g net carbs/ 83g fat --------------------------------------------------------------------- Saturday dec 28 Breakfast: coffee with milk / 2 egg whites Lunch: salmon with jalapeno / coffee with milk Snack: lavish flax roll with peanut butter Dinner: oatmeal pancake / coffee with milk Snack: broccoli soup with mozzarella cheese -------------------------------------------------------------------- Totals- 1274 cals / 80g protein / 71g net carbs / 71g fat --------------------------------------------------------------------- CW as of this morning 176.4. My body is extremely stubborn with losing weight and its really difficult for me to stay on track. I feel deprived and I'm constantly in a bad mood. I wish thier was a way for me to feel like this is my way of life rather than constantly feeling like I cant eat foods that I enjoy because I am "punished" for being fat. It makes it even harder that I'm always surrounded by unhealthy foods and I cant really change that. How can I continue to say no to all these delicious looking and smelling foods without causing myself to feel horrible and upset. I just want to be happy.
  16. Currently on the treadmill. I'm realizing that I need some new running sneakers. Which ones do you like? I'm not looking to spend a crazy amount.
  17. Was too hungry to take a pic before! LOLS this honestly tastes so good and definitely does the trick for cravings. .5 cup raw oats, 1 egg, 2 oz low fat plain greek yogurt, .5 teaspoon baking powder. Sweeten and flavor to your liking (cinnamon, sugar free syrup etc.). Blend and make in a pan. Nutrition info: 200 cals, 16g protien, 14g net carbs, 6g fat I will finish the rest after a run on treadmill.
  18. Thanks [emoji2]
  19. I track on Baritastic which gives me a moving average, but I have no clue what it means. Can you please explain to me how it works?
