Bastian got a reaction from Erika Madrigal in Keto post op diet
I'm a certified Keto coach and after bari surgery, the rules are a bit different.
You need Protein to be your focus so may be eating more often than we recommend for the average Joe and you do NOT want your diet to be 75% fat, you want minimal fat, at a later date you may be able to increase the fat a bit as your carbs are below 20g/day to be properly keto so you need energy from somewhere.
In the early days post op you just want to focus on your protein and fluids, which will put you into ketosis anyway.
Loads of different ways to do keto, there is dirty keto, lazy keto, strict keto, so while you are recovering and on low carbs anyway research lots and find a way to do it that will fit in with your lifestyle.

Obstructions do make you vomit, personally I'd get it done just because I wouldn't want to risk a full obstruction.
Bless you must be awful, big virtual hugs x

@Lena809 Sorry you were conned by a jerk. I have no dating stories/hints/tips but I hope you find the right person for you. We all deserve to love and be loved.
Are you happy being single though? I always find people meet nicer partners when they are happy in their own company. But this can be hard if you feel lonely. Anyway good luck

Yummo!! I love asian fish cakes, tried making my own without much success, ended up being like fish Soup when I tried cooking them [emoji23] i need to try again coz I love that bouncy texture and they cost a bomb at the Asian supermarket.
Haven't tried the tofu ones, but love tofu as well.
Do the tofu ones have the bouncy texture?

actually, ASMBS (American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric surgery) now recommends that sleeve patients (which would include DS since they have a sleeved stomach) avoid NSAIDs as well. So that may not make as much of a difference as it once did...

Your BMI is 25.5 - why are you scared that "this is it"? You're at a normal weight already.

I was also on full liquids for two weeks before surgery. My "last meal" was the evening before I started the liquid diet two weeks out (and it was fabulous!).

If your pre-op diet has only been liquids so far, then I would personally stick to that in the last day before surgery. The sudden introduction of a regular meal the night before surgery after just liquids seems really odd to me. I'm not sure what surgery you're having done, but I would think regardless, the doctor isn't going to want remnants of a meal sitting there being digested.

Thank you I’m home now. I’m able to pee on my own again. I put a heating pad on warm on my stomach. It’s very soothing. Gonna try to get some real sleep now that I’m home.

Hey there everyone. I had my gastric bypass today and it went well. No pain at the moment just some tenderness in the abdomen. My procedure was four hours. Going to ask tomorrow for the details. Nothing by mouth until tomorrow. I'm ready for the next part of my journey!

it's a real crap shoot. It gets worse for some, but not for others. I wasn't willing to take the risk, but some people are. SOOO....it's hard to say..

Roasted veggie salad with avocado, roasted Tomato salsa, and creamy vegan chipotle sauce. I ate just over half. A few spoonfuls of dessert, two hours later: raspberry nice cream (just raspberries and bananas).

Last night’s Father’s Day dinner, Part Deux:
    - Sticky, sweet and spicy 9-hr slow cooker ribs then further basted and caramelized in oven (Kid’s request)
    - cucumber salad (the obligatory vegetable)
    - cheesy jalepeno corn bread (Mr.’s request)
    - ...and a FLINTSTONE-esque Tomahawk Steak. To put things in perspective, that grill plate is 50cm wide (or 19.7”).
I had basically all the cucumbers, as the fam was not in a plant eating mood, and about 3.5oz of the steak. Later had a slice (about 1.5 oz) of the cherry almond flan (store bought), and paid the price. Was worth it, I loooove frangipane in ANY dessert.

Veg kebab with red onion and I made tzatziki again. Spiced it up with Rad el Hanout spice mix for kebab. Unfortunately I didn't have any flat bread in the freezer left.
