Hopefully they were canned or puréed since the op mentioned being on the puréed diet.

If this has been happening since yesterday it may not be an emergency. Not sure. But get some chewable papaya enzymes and keep them on hand for times like this. They are great at helping to digest the food.
Good luck!
i wouldn’t normally suggest this but are you able to make yourself bring them back up? Wouldn’t be a good thing to do very often but may help you now.

if they were RAW carrots, I couldn't eat those until I was a few months out. Raw veggies can be very irritating to healing stomachs. In fact they sometimes STILL irritate my stomach, and I'm over four years out.

Depending on how long you have been constipated an enema may work best and quicker

Have you tried anything for the Constipation? I have been allowed milk of magnesia, dulcolax, Smooth Move tea and I take Miralax every day

Losingit2018 got a reaction from The New Me(maw) in Zero Appetite
I always liked Premier Protein since I had my sleeve done back in early 2018. I tried to drink it afterrevision and not only does it taste nasty, I can’t keep it down.
I am strictly using Syntrax Nectar mixed with fairlife milk now. chocolate Truffle tastes just like chocolate milk with zero Protein taste.
May the least go to the grocery store and get the fairlife milk to drink. It has 13 grams per 8 ounces. If you can get 4-5 cups per day in you can hit your protein goals. You could get Hershey’s Sugar Free Chocolate Syrup and make chocomilk if you like.
there are also several different clear Protein Drinks that may settle better with you. Protein 20 and premier makes some as well. Do your best to get the protein in as that is extremely important for healing.

I could not agree with this more. You paid this dr and she is supposed to be working for you. I would get a second opinion for sure. Any decent dr would totally understand that.
Really too bad if she doesn’t. This is your health and your life on the line.

Losingit2018 reacted to New&Improved in ** MERRY XMAS EVERYONE ** broke my stall
Woo hoo it is officially Christmas here down under.. Summer here heading for 95 today..
I had a few days there with no changes on the scales I'm not sure why I guess it happens.
Today I woke up and dropped 1.5lbs overnight and hit 210lbs today (95kgs); getting closer everyday to my end goal of 185-195
That's officially 112lbs gone good bye good riddance
But I also wanted to wish all my international friends a very merry Xmas and happy new years.
I managed to cook a soup/stew and ate a few tiny pieces of sausage meat and a few carrot pieces and that was it for my Xmas lunch..lol
hopefully one day I'll be able to eat proper food; more than a few bites....One day!
take care.
Mike.

You may be better placed to follow the more general post op guidelines...liquids, purees, soft foods then standard foods, with a focus on meeting some Protein minimums (typically about 60gms of protein per day). This may help with the transition from liquids to standard foods.
If you were not give any guidelines from your surgeon or dietician, if you google 'pureed food bariatic surgery' you will find lots of suggestions, here is one I found https://www.upmc.com/services/bariatrics/surgery-process/post-surgery/diet/pureed, foods lists as well as timeframes will likely vary from clinic to clinic.
Your surgeon or dietician may also have some suggestions for you.

My nutritionist gave me samples of the chewable Bariatric Fusion tablets. I like them. Only need to take once in morning and once at night. No other Vitamins required. Cost is $30 for a one month supply.

Losingit2018 got a reaction from Love27 in Surgery Scheduled
My surgeon told me that the people that are the most scared tend to be the most successful with this surgery in his experience.
Anytime we have to have surgery it is very scary. Try to remember that this is a very safe surgery. Research your dr to be sure that he is top notch and very experienced.
Try to stay positive and think of all of the good things that will come from this surgery. Such as a much healthier you to spend many more birthdays with your daughter.
You have youth on your side and should recover quickly.
You got this!

Losingit2018 reacted to JAKE H in Calories?
my first month i was 300-600 cal. then i was instructed by my doc to go to 800 cal. (4months) i went for a check up last week and was told to start trying to hit 1000 cal. im taking my doctors directions and sticking to them because he hasnt led me wrong yet. HE also knows that i am training for a half marathon( 3 long distance runs a week) and i do crossfit 5 days a week. So my calories may be a little higher then someone else at my stage. Im not sure. I just know ive been having success and i love every minute of this. Every person and every doctor is different. This is just what ive done. Good luck to you!!

I'm at somewhat of a 3 week stall as well...but I'm down 28 pounds in those three weeks and my pants are falling off...so what the hey! I'm averaging 600 calories and 65 Protein a day, so I guess I'm doing all I can do.
Merry Christmas everyone! And a skinny New Year.
