The bypass forum does have a March buddies thread, but I've got mine coming in two weeks.

So, since I was to start on my pre-op diet today (and did), I figured that I'd use last weekend to indulge a little bit. I had dinner at Texas de Brazil, and it was fantastic. Additionally, I had some ice cream. I'm wondering if anyone else had something like this, to kinda get it out of your system before putting yourself on the final path to your operation.

Day 1 of pre-op diet. Two weeks of Optifast with 7 servings a day. The little juice box shake wasn't terrible, but I wouldn't prefer it. I'll be glad when the surgery is done.

Which two bands? Any singles you have out there?

My doctor says four weeks but no more than six. I requested the minimum off.

Yes, Optifast is my only option. It's not a big deal, but apparently I have to buy 98 servings. Seven a day for two weeks.

I'll admit that I'm not looking forward to the liquid diet. Mostly due to the price tag of the Optifast.

I've got a 3/26 date. I'm 31, married, no kids, and male. Live in NE Ohio, getting surgery done at Akron City hospital

Yes and no. I currently weigh 377.2 lbs. at home. I carry most of my weight in my belly, and if it's too hard to get in there, they won't do the bypass. That said, I was 392 at the doctor's a couple weeks ago, and I haven't started the presurgery Optifast yet. They have me on two weeks starting 3/11.

March 26 here. I'm down for the bypass, but there's the chance they'll give me the sleeve if they can't get the bypass done safely.

So, I'm still waiting on my surgery date. Had all auths ready, but they had me down for the gastric sleeve. I let them know I wanted gastric bypass, and now I'm waiting for insurance auth again.
