  1. Im almost 6 months post op and havent told anyone except my parents and bf. I plan to keep it that way or the rest of my life lol
  2. Shake it off and focus. You got this! Don't be yourself up
  3. @Findaway You look absolutely stunning! You can see the difference! You'll make a beautiful bride Congratulations!
  4. Omg yessss its delicioussss. I love it with yucca too and the purple vinegar onions on top! I will say though, my preference is eating it with mangu. Awww that stinks! Have you tried checking Walmart? I wonder if there was some way you could get them shipped cold. New York has some great spots for Dominican breakfast. I live in RI and I'm lucky because there are like 5 or 6 Dominican corner stores within walking distance from my house that sell the ingredients and sell it cooked. Pre-op I would go to one of the stores before heading to work and order a small container of mangu con los tres golpes (mangu with the 3 hits). $5 bucks for two pieces of cheese, two pieces of salami, two eggs, the mangu, and onions! All hot and freshly made at 7 am. It would fill me up for the whole day lol. Im glad im able to make it a little healthier now but its definitely a dish that needs to be eaten in moderation.
  5. Im so soo sorry for your loss... I cant even imagine what you must be feeling or going through. I know we dont really know each other but if you ever need someone to talk to, about anything really, dont hesitate to message me. My deepest condolences...Sending prayers your way ❤️
  6. Id have to get back to you on that lol I've never tried Halloumi cheese before. I did a google search and this is what I found: I'm adding Halloumi to my grocery list! I'm curious now
  7. Its one meant for cooking ☺️ I usually fry it with a little 0 cal. olive oil spray. I tried it in the foodi not too long ago and it cooks well in there too!
  8. Breakfast this morning: scrambled eggs with a side of Dominican salami and cheese. Ate two slices each and one bite of the eggs. My bf ate the rest.
  9. Thanks! It was thawed and I marinated it overnight. Took about 15 minutes to cook!
  10. Gochujang chicken lettuce wraps again. Gochujang burns fast so cooking it on the stove yesterday was a pain. Today I decided to try cooking it with the ninja foodi and OMGGGGG sooo good! What a difference! The marinade stuck to the chicken well without burning and the chicken held it’s juice. I think I’m going to be eating this the rest of the week. Tasted just like the spicy chicken thighs from Korean bbq ? Now all I’m missing is some kimchi...
  11. I was unfortunately out of work for 2 and a half months. I couldn't retain any protein drinks and I kept throwing up.
  12. @AngieBear I bet you would look like a bad ass with a shaved head! I've always thought about shaving my head too but I have a big head so I know it wouldnt look good lol @ms.sss @Arabesque @GreenTealael My hair is kinda long so i think i can afford to cut it but it just breaks my heart. I usually just cut the ends every year and that's it so getting it cut shorter scares me. I've never even highlighted or dyed my hair, its a virgin. I was hoping to grow it out more and then get highlights once I lost weight. Ill keep you all updated!
  13. Gochujang grilled chicken lettuce wraps. There were 3 but I ate one before I remembered to take a pic. I’m stuffed after one!
  14. LOL i tried to look for an emoji while I was writing it and didnt find an appropriate one either. Thanks, me too! It smelled so bad and there was so much smoke I couldnt believe how quick it was moving up my hair. If it wasnt for my parentsitf would have reached the top of my scalp. Thank God I have no bald spots. I would have cried my eyes out. those are pretty bad fears! Mines is rats and mice. Uhh cant stand them! I ended up cutting the dead/burnt ends myself but I havent went to the salon yet. Im afraid they're going to cut my hair too short. Not sure if I should just leave it and let it grow or make it into layers so you cant tell. Decisions, decisions
  15. Ahh that sucks! I recently had a horrible hair accident too. I was in the kitchen washing my container out and my stepmom had soup boiling on the stove. I walked past the stove extremely fast to put my container away then all of a sudden I started to smell something burn. I wasn't sure what it was and I looked quick to see if it was her soup. I then saw lots of smoke and out of the nowhere my dad yelled "YOUR HAIR!!" and yep.... my hair was on fire... I have longish hair and it must have caught fire when I walked by the stove. My parents came running and started hitting my head and my stepmom grabbed water and threw it at me. It was all very surreal. I lost a couple inches of hair on one side and on the other its slightly thinner. Luckily you cant tell but I can clearly feel and see the difference. Oh and this happened a day before my birthday... ?
  16. @GizzlyKitten @JAKE H you both look amazing!!!! Wow! Congrats! Two different people!
  17. My bf wanted pork chops so I decided to make the same thing for me but just slightly healthier. Instead of rice I used quinoa for mine and instead of frying the pork chop I broke out my new ninja foodi and air fried it. I think I over cooked my pork chop though. I’m still learning how to use it but so far I’m obsessed with it! Technology is crazy lol First pic is his plate (No modification)
  18. Thank you! I tried to keep it as low as i could but it was tough. Im afraid yesterday was only the start and the celebration will be continuing. Im going out to dinner with friends today so we'll see how that goes. Im sooo in! We might need longer than a month lol
  19. Yesterday was a big eating day for me. I hit a little over 1500 calories and its the highest calorie intake I've had since surgery. Since I knew I was going out to dinner for my birthday i skipped lunch and had an egg for breakfast. My coworkers bought me a cheesecake and we sat around eating. They served me a large slice and I had to sit there picking at it little by little. I managed to eat half of it. I could have kept going but I didn't want to. Forgot to take a before and after pic of my slice but here's the cheesecake after I brought the rest home for my family: Oh, and when i got home my bf surprised me with chocolate covered fruit and mini cheesecake from Edible Arrangements. I ate 1 banana and 1 apple before heading out. For dinner we went to a restaurant that owns their own aquaculture and organic vegetable farm. The oysters they harvest are delicious! For a drink I had their signature kombucha with fresh ginger, rosemary, and a splash of cranberry juice. For a starter and app I had two raw oysters and 3 grilled. For dinner I had a blackened yellowfin tuna with mashed red potatoes, a sweet pepper relish and creole mustard cream sauce. I also ate 1 scallop, and 2 oz of lobster from my bf's dish. Before: After: My bf helped me eat a good amount of it When I got home I had a chocolate covered strawberry, another banana and a few hot fry chips. Gave the left overs to my siblings.
  20. @GreenTealael @ms.sss @Orchids&Dragons sooo good! ?
  21. I use Carb Manager. I use to use MFP but i didnt like the set up. Even though Carb Manager is more for someone who is on the Keto diet, i think it works well for the average person too.
  22. ? ???? Those look sooo good! and hugeeeeee! *slowly licks computer screen while crying*
