  3. I paid $4000 out of pocket but had a very easy process very little requirements and had surgery within 3 months.
  4. Yes I was so excited to get under 300 then every 20lbs was great then to finally get under 200 was like the biggest achievement ever
  5. Sorry to hear that I guess I've been lucky I'm over 3 months out and still barely get those thoughts or cravings really at all...
  6. 1000 kcal Is too much I'm over 3 months out and still only get like 700cal a day...
  7. First two weeks I lost 20lbs But I did my own preop of 9 weeks and lost 65lbs before surgery and I've lost 77lbs since then
  8. I chose the RNY bypass as the middle ground between all surgeries.. In almost 6 months I've gone from 322lbs to 180 lbs it's been amazing...
  9. I chose the RNY bypass as the middle ground between all surgeries.. In almost 6 months I've gone from 322lbs to 180 lbs it's been amazing...
  10. Had a mate come over for a weekend and he eats whatever he likes... He brought bread and the smell of fresh hot toast was lingering all over the room... So I took a gamble and cooked a slice of toast with a little vegemite; I just ate the middle not the crust Omggg it was amazing my first bite of toast in 5 months...(3 months post op) Didn't bother me at all.. Currently 10 days away from 6 months since starting this diet journey and I'm 140lbs down!
  11. Yeah I researched local surgeons and thank God my surgeon had his own Dr that does the referrals hahaha very easy and not having to worry about dealing with a Dr that is against surgery...
  12. Is the ham and soups on your plan???
  13. I'm surprised you found someone to do surgery with 29.9 BMI but hope it all works for you.
  14. Yeah strangers in the mall look at you like a real person and the staff in shops are definitely nicer. Girls actually smile at me sometimes..
  15. My starting BMI was 43.7 and I had one surgeons office lady tell me I needed to be 50 BMI for bypass & they tried pushing the sleeve. so I politely hung up the phone and went elsewhere lol found out later that surgeon wasn't very experienced! Finally got my RNY and I'm now 24.7 BMI
  16. That's awesome you and your daughter can now share clothes and probably look like sisters now
  17. Yeah hey the bug was not good but I'm back now & weight loss has started again 182lbs today I'm not sure where I'll stop haha ? But I know I'll have to start weights soon as I'm kinda skin and bones right now lol
  18. That was my motto no carbs or very low I think for the first 2 months before surgery my carbs was always under 10g a day but I was on shakes only pretty much and I lost 66lbs even before surgery. It literally melted off me because of no carbs. No sugar. No fat at all. As above if you want to take advantage of the #honeymoon# period the best way Is to go hard from day 1 but if you're happy with moderate weight loss then you decide your plan of action.... It is your body
  19. Well the last week I was unwell had a bug like sore throat and headaches so took my mind off my diet. might have had a few cracker biscuits and some extra carbs one day I was just so unwell.. But now the last couple days I've got back on track had a fast for like 24hrs and woke up today FINALLY broke the stall I had for like 2 weeks and I'm finally into a healthy bmi range for the first time in like 15 years As of today I'm currently 182.5LBS that's a total of 139.5lbs gone - good riddance!!! I thought I may never get there.. My high weight was 322Lbs. finally healthy BMI of 24.7 ? so my message to everyone. Never give up. keep fighting. Keep focused. YOU CAN DO IT !!!! MIKEY
  20. Mini bypass can also cause reflux issues.. RNY is the best option
  21. Nobody loses the exact same amount consistently for a year.. No way.. The first few months you will lost the most maybe 6 months if you have a Lot to lose but then it will slow right down even possible to go thru multiple stalls over a year. Also a month and a half is 6 weeks and a year is 52 so it would be 28 x 8.66.
  22. Yep I'm 3.5 months out and finally starting to try new foods it is nice to have the variety but other days I'm too busy so shakes are still a part of my life i find if I get any craving to eat or drink high protein low carb. if I decide to take In extra carbs one day it will make me hungrier than normal..
  23. Pretty sure most obese ppl have high cholesterol
