  2. Didn't fly but sat in a car for like 3 hours trip home was a little tender if going over bumps so I assume take off and landing might be a little sore for you

  6. Yea they keep the sleeve and then do the rest to make it a DS I had bypass and it's not that dissimilar to DS recovery was fine just sore for a few days...
  7. Yes 1500 is what you'd eat too maintain your weight not to lose weight..
  8. Sorry to hear what you went through I had bypass as my first surgery and haven't had one issue obviously gotta eat slowly and small bites but now over 6 months out I'm feeling great and eating more... I've gone from 322 to 166lbs in 8 months 3 weeks since I began my own pre-op diet. If you have any questions I'll try and help.

  10. Well I had the bypass and never had one issue and look at me now 8 months 3 weeks since I began my diet and 6.5 months post op. Bypass was the best decision for me
  11. My lowest weight yet started at 322 only 8 months 3 weeks ago
  12. What's going on its like I can't stop losing weight lol
  13. I can't get over how well things have gone for me. It shows that if you really commit and dedicate yourself to a new way of life you can achieve anything. i spent half my life overweight and obese and never could see the end of the tunnel until I found out about health insurance will cover most of my surgery here in Australia. My highest weight got up to 322 in 2018 and I felt sick looking in the mirror, was so unhealthy and unfit. i researched everything for months before I found the right surgeon for me and it was so refreshing to find a surgeon who actually cares and I didn't have too many actual prerequisites for surgery really. my BMI was 43 and I had multiple co-morbidities and now my BMI is 22.7 It was a pretty simple process took about 3 months and starting Weight was at 322lbs; I knew I had 3 months wait so I decided myself to start my diet early and I was able to shed 65lbs before surgery and was 257 surgery day Oct 28th 2019. and today 8.5 months since I started my diet and 6.5 months post surgery my lowest weight this week was 168lbs ? I've pretty much been in maintenance now a few weeks anyway most days weighing in between 168-170 and feel like a brand new man. i just want everyone to know it is possible to reach your goals as I exceeded all mine. i barely recognise myself when I look in the mirror. I've added before and after photos below feel free to comment.
  14. I was still on shakes and had very little urge to eat anything so I was satisfied but I was well and truly healed and everything... Yeah I'm over 6 months out now from surgery day... Eating more normal food now..
  15. I hit the 150 loss as well woohoo
  16. I hear exactly what you're saying mate. I'm only 35 but had alot of health issues prior to surgery. Did alot of parties and alcohol for years myself but gave that up for a new life and 8.5 months later with the bypass completely turned my life around as well.. In maintenance now Well done.
  17. I'm sick of people putting their noses in your business... Anyway to answer your questions after surgery for months I didn't even crave anything literally I was on shakes for months high protein low carbs and that was it and I never felt like eating until recently but even now at 6.5 months post op some days I still don't eat much at all nor miss food but I will say my intake volume has gone up so eating is more enjoyable but still way less volume than before... I had the bypass and it has completely changed my metabolism now it's like I can't gain weight and have lost over 150lbs in 8 months since I began my pre-op.
  18. I know this is the gals room but I thought I could add my story for inspiration I started at 322 and now below goal at 168/170 @MaddieSpahr you look great
