Hello, my journey started in 2007. I got sick and I was at I believe 425 pounds. I lost 208 pounds in 2 years alone, changing my eating habits and exercising. After 2 pregnancies, I was able to lose the weight with A LOT of exercise. But I gained 60 pounds in the past 14 months when I suddenly changed my routine of exercising more than 2 hours a day. So, I became depressed. I decided to go for the lap band, and I did it last month. I am down 12 pounds I think, but I am really concerned that I might not lose much since this is sort my lowest point (coming from more than 425 pounds). Some people that starts at my current weight lose A LOT OF WEIGHT the first few months, and I am concerned that that is not my case. Maybe this is where I am supposed to be. I have no health issues...NONE, but I do not want to accept this gain weight. I am a super healthy eater and I exercise ALMOST every day. If one day I don't exercise, at least I get 10K steps. I am trying to let my body to adjust to this new amounts of food  I am eating, but having an eating distorter is not easy!!!! I cannot imagine to eat less of what I am currently eating. I have a discipline that most people would love to have. That is why I thought the band would be ok for me. I hope I can find some people here that can understand me, since most people in my family didn't want me to do the surgery because " I am healthy." I am hoping that in a year, I can look back and see my progress.
