Same thing happen to me the week before my surgery. They said that I didn't meet my out of pocket max. so i needed to pay $2550 the day of surgery!!! I was so pissed! So we borrowed the money out of our wedding money to pay for it so I wouldn't have to change my date so please ladies double check!

All I had was the weight history from my OBGYN and I just submitted my medical records with my weight information highlighted. I was approved in two days (Anthem BCBS), I was not required to do the six month diet ..........hope this helps!!

I was in your shoes last week this time. I was so nervous I wanted to cancel my surgery. I was crying and I kept trying to convince myself that I did not need the surgery. I am healthy as a cow with no problems besides being overweight. You have the pre-surgery jitters...........and it is common but I am here to tell you that you will be fine. My surgery was on Tuesday and it was a piece of cake....all of that worrying for nothing. Someone gave me some great advice the day before my surgery............LET GO AND LET GOD!!! A big Thanks goes out to everyone for their encouraging words. My recovery has been pretty smooth so far. The only thing is I can't get rid of this headache that I have had for the past three weeks......what gives?? Also, it seems like when I take a deep breathe I have a sharp pain in my stomach at times...........not all the time though! I have lost 18lbs:lol: OMG it's this freaking liquid diet. Anyway, I am at home chillin:thumbup:trying to get all of my liquids in ....been having trouble doing that lately!! Have a blessed day!

You will be fine.............I am such a wimp..........I was worried over nothing it was not bad at all..................just lay back and enjoy that deep sleep and next thing you know ....it's over just like that........I will be praying for you

I am a little soar today but its bearable.............and honestly no gas pains yet but a lot of burping so I am thinking the air is exiting through my mouth. How are you doing? What was your post-op diet because I a confused on mine..........it said full liquids but a friend of mine said her doctor told her clear liquids for two weeks. so far I don't have an appetite so I have been drinking applejuice and applesauce and water. thanks for checking up on me!!! I love mt sisters even though you on the wrong side....LOL !! Much greek love..........my best best friend is a delta and we're always battling ..........take care

Okay ladies, I have my surgery today and it went well. I was scared over nothing. Not too much pain or gas..............I have been walking and walking and I slept twice today but for the most part...........I had a great experience and I am so happy to have my new best friend!! I have the Realize band not sure of the size yet but I think 9 or 10 cc but I am told I was suppose to get a serial number for it, so should I ask?? :confused2: We arrived at the hospital at 8am and the Doctor was doing a revision and it made him run behind schedule so 9:30 am changed to 11:45 am but the doc came in talked to me, then the nurse came in with another doctor and while she was talking to me he must have slipped that "feel good" medicine in my IV and all I remember was them rolling me out and the jolly young nurse was still asking me questions and I woke up and it was done...................piece of cake I tell you!!! Thanks for all the support and prayers ladies...............Beyonce watch out!!!

Well I am getting prepared for my surgery tomorrow and I am a little nervous but still excited! Please please keep me in your prayers and I will let you know how it goes when I am able!!! You know I have been really really nervous about my surgery and one of my co-workers said to me today....."There is no need to worry.....You let Go and Let God" So God, I am letting Go ..........

Well I purchased one this past week but I won't start using it until after my surgery (which is Tuesday.......please say a prayer):biggrin: any tips for a beginner that knows nothing about it??????

I have been wondering the same thing so please let me know what you find out.........I remember reading on here somewhere that this one person found that she lost more weight with higher protein intake and she was aiming for like 100grams a day! That is alot but I purchased Isopure fruit drinks with 40 grams in it hoping to help with my protein intake after surgery. keep me posted!!

thank you thank you thank you thank you...............you don't know how much you have helped me out...........I don't know what happen but all of a sudden I became extremely nervous about surgery on Tuesday!! My entire family flew in today from South Carolina to be with me (yes I am spoiled......only girl out of 5 kids) and my fiance is soooo supportive so I really need to chill and all of you have help. thanks again....I love yall!!!!!:biggrin:

Okay I guess i am really getting nervous now since Tuesday is my day. But can anyone tell me about "the tube"..............I don't know what to expect and I am getting scared.....I here some say that their throat is sore after the surgery..etc. So I just want to know the experiences from others. Will I be awake or under when they put it in?? What can I do to minimize the pain after the surgery? Someone please advise i am really scared right now and I need to know more to be at ease.............Thanks!:biggrin:

#1 Bodybugg- has anyone used this and what was your thoughts on it?? #2 I want to puree my on food when I am going through the mushy stage and I want foods like beef,chicken, pork,etc. Do anyone know of a machine that would really puree these types of foods?? I have heard only negative comments about the Magic Bullet, so I am not sure. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated. P.S I am just really nervous ....my surgery is a week from now and I don't know what to expect. I have never had any type of surgery in my life and have never been put under and I just want everything to go well. I have been on my knees so much lately praying that I have a great surgery, speedy recovery with no complications, and be a successful bander. I have no famliy here in Texas but my mom, father, & fiance will be flying here this weekend to be with me. I am so blessed.................and now I have yall....thanks for all the support....we have some amazing women in this world!!!!

Hello, I live in Fort Worth and I will be banded on the 5th:scared2:........I am a little nervous as well but God is with us and we will be okay!!! I am on my pre-op diet now and it sucks:drool: I am so hungry and I started it last monday. Have a good "Last Meal" :thumbs_up:....................

Hey everyone, Just came across G.R.I.T.S and I love it.........my fav is cheesy Grits and fried fish (South Carolina style) I am on my pre-op diet and the thought of it is killing me.........LOL!! Born and raised in Holly Hill South Carolina went to Atlanta for college and now in Fort Worth Texas..........I won't leave the south for nothing in the world.....:thumbup:
