One more thing.......I need some advice.................My doctor asked me how do I feel about the sleeve and I don't know much about it! But that is still another object in your body so my body make reject that too...........and the sleeve is not reversible .......I don't know what to do ladies!! Plus I only want to loose 40 more lbs and gastric bypass is too drastic for such a small amount of weight in my opinion! I can't get my money back (Thank Goodness it was covered by my insurance) but I still walk away with nothing.......!! My doctor is so hurt and he wants to try another surgery on me but I am so confused....I selected lapband because it was the one with less complications..........!!! See why I need yall to pray for me........I'm getting ready to nut up in Texas!!!! LOL............Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

Awww I love my sisters.............you guys don't know how much your prayers have helped me. I thought I was going to lose my mind but things are a little better........not only did I lose my band but me and my fiance decided to part ways as well!!! Things do happen for a reason..........Please please please continue to keep me in your prayers....God knows I need it but he promised that he will supply all of my needs and I know that ....everything is going to me alright!! My mom sang this song to me and it really made me feel so much better.........the words are :I don't feel no ways tired....I've come to far from where I started from..nobody told me that the road would be easy and I don't believe he brought me this far to leave me.............So ladies be blessed and know that your sister in Texas loves you!!!! -Kia

Sorry guys..........I have just been depressed and forgot to give you the scoop...........My band was removed on September 19th:sad:.....I was so weak from not eating for two weeks and no liquids for three days!! My doctor had no choice but to take it out..........Please continue to pray for me .........I am so numb right now...........

That is very scary.........something similar happened to me two weeks ago and I continue to slime and could swallow my own spit!!! Sadly my band was removed on Friday........Please see a doctor!!

Hello Ladies, Please keep me in your prayers..........I am at a lost for words ............they had to remove my band yesterday because my body started rejecting it. I haven't eaten since last week and my first time having liquids was this morning since wednesday..........:embaressed_smile:! I can't believe it and I am still in shock! My doc wants me to look into other procedures because he said the lapband is not for me...........I don't really know what to do..........Father it's me again standing in the need of prayer!!

It started last week and since then I have been able to keep very little down! I have been Sliming since then and what it seems like is my own spit is blocking my stomach.............I have had an upper GI and my ban has not slipped but it is tight as the devil..........and guess what I haven't had a fill yet! I was suppose to get one on Tuesday but since I am constantly throwing up my own spit the Doctor and I want to see what is going on with my band. This sucks I was doing so well with it too..........the doc thinks that my body may be rejecting the band causing it to become tighter and tighter! So far today I have only be able to keep down water!! Please Please say a prayer.........I really don't want to lose my Band friend but my body can't live off of Water either........I really want to cry right now....I went through so much just to get the insurance to cover the procedure only for it to last a few weeks!! I don't know what to do.........he is giving me to Monday and if I haven't eating anything by then ........then he has no choice! He thinks that maybe my esophagus is having issues as well...................... signed, Beauty and the Band (Corny I know :biggrin:)

What if you have been sliming for several days???? I have been sliming since Thursday.............No fill yet! I went on clear liquids on Sunday and I still have that foaming type spit that just sits in my throat. What is wrong with me?? I continue to spit even after just water and ice?? I can't still be stuck from my last meal on Saturday can I??? I am schedule to get my first fill tomorrow and I honestly don't know if I should or not! Please help!!

THANKS so much for the quick responses.............I have gone on clear liquids now for 32 hours with no luck yet.......let me give you the scoop......this started on Thursday and I had no idea what was going on and I should have just asked at that time but I was hoping it would past over. So I continued to eat over the weekend as well (Boyfriend came into town so we had a great time this weekend eating) Sushi, Tex-Mex, BBQ ...LOL!! So now I am wondering how long do I have to wait for it to digest before I feel any better........I tried making myself throw up but no food would come up just slim.........and spit! I really don't know what to do at this point. I did start taking the papaya enzymes hoping that will help me digest whatever it is that is blocking me...................Do anyone know what else is there to do besides what I am doing? I am going to the doctor tomorrow for my first fill but If i don't feel any better by then I am going to request for a Upper GI cause what in the world can be there since Thursday????:tt1:

I am almost six weeks post op and just this past week something unusual has started happening. I have never thrown up until this past week and it is not food.........it's sudggy type spit and mucus. No food!! What is that? I am keeping all of my food down. I have these griggling type noises in my throat as well like the spit is just sitting there building up and then towards the end of the day.........i vomit it all up and it's just foamy type spit! Has anyone ever experienced this? Please help!!:smile:

Congrats April...........................I now how you feel ..............those gas pains are a mother..LOL at times I felt like I was having a heart attack! They will go away...I promise..........hang in there girl!! You and B will be okay:thumbup:

Hi the first step I would suggest is find out if your insurance covers the procedure. If so, get the requirements from there find a doctor (In- Network) and they should guide you through the rest!! Good Luck P.S If your insurance does not cover it.....then maybe others will help you with self-pay options......I was really blessed that my insurance covered it for me! It will stop soon.........my mom said it is a sign of the incisions healing. I would scratch around the incision and that would help! Good Luck

Hello all, I was banded last Tuesday by Dr. Nick Nicholson in Plano and I am looking for a support group in Fort Worth so I won't have to travel to Plano each time!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated..........Thanks!!

It depends on your insurance requirements. My insurance didn't require the six months diet........Good Luck!!

Besides Optifast .............I think what he currently have you doing is your best option........it's easier than most! Good Luck

Hey girl glad to hear your surgery went well.............today makes a week since mine and I am just starting to eat a little better than before. I still can't sleep on my side with the port yet but overall my experience was a great one!! I am here if you have questions or concerns................
