  1. Oh yeah? I hadn't thought of that. It sort of tasted like seaweed at the cafe. Is that normal? I haven't been game to open the packet I bought.
  2. That last one isn't a weightloss channel, I just love him
  3. I love weightloss surgery YouTubers, especially : - Bandedwendy (her archives are a gold mine of tips) - Little Kansas Kitty (come for the weight loss journey, stay for the jogging and optimism) - Minnie Me in TN (although she's been going through a tough time lately) - SmilinsShrinking (incredibly inspirational) - runnyrunny999 (cooks Japanese food and is compulsive viewing)
  4. Brilliant idea. Evening is my danger time too. After being busy all day, sitting in front of telly is a trap for me.
  5. Overcoming Obstacles: I think it's the worry in the back of my mind this really won't work just like all the other diets have failed. I mean it's working so far, I'm over 25 kilos down, but when's the bounce back up gonna happen?
  6. Current Struggle: keeping the cals down to 1000. If I'm honest they're more in the 1250 range which the old me would have been thrilled with, but at only just over three months postop, it's not great. I do so well during the day, but the evening is dangerous.
  7. My knees have become knobbly. For about a month now when I lie in bed on my side I have to arrange my legs so my knees aren't together, otherwise they feel all boney and uncomfortable. I never knew I had padding there before!
  8. Exactly! It's not good value [emoji24] so unless it's a special occasion or for the meeting peeps, I don't much see the point.
  9. Those keto crackers look fabulous! How do you make them?
  10. I'm not good at presentation but I had a totally nom brunch: a slice of edam cheese, avocado, spinich leaves, baby tomatoes, mushrooms, egg. 281 cals, no leftovers.
  11. How I eat out: I've always had to wrestle with restaurant menus, coz I can't have anything with alcohol or non-halal meat so that usually means fish or veggie (unless they put wine in the sauce, the meanies). So, that my cuts the menu down to a couple of good options and from that I try and pick something that isn't too fatty, creamy or sugary. Often I'll do an appetiser and a salad or soup. I ask that the side of chips is taken off, and refuse the bread rolls in the beginning. I don't really eat out that often, mostly coz there aren't a lot of good local restaurants where I live and I love cooking so we prefer home meals anyhow.
  12. Keeping Warm: I have had to learn a lot of things moving to Ireland. Good insulation and double-glazed windows help; thermal underwear; big puffy coats and don't forget your scarves and gloves; but mostly, spend time over at the in-laws who have a huge fireplace!
  13. My goodness! You look like a famous actor out and about for the lark! [emoji322]?
  14. Would help if I posted the pic!
  15. #ThrowbackThursday this is me in Yemen in 2002. I didn't know it at the time but I was pregnant (ended up having a miscarriage but then went on to have my beautiful girly). I went to study Arabic and I found the most generous, kind friendly people. My heart breaks with the current Western-backed Saudi demolition of that beautiful country. One day I will return in sha' Allah.
  16. More power to ya!! Those are some fabulous motivation pix!
  17. Deleted coz brain fart
  18. Hey Ladeeeezzzzz, guess what I found at my local café
  19. Wow that's wonderful, congrats!!
  20. Snap! So was his LOL (just checking, stone masons are the ones that do gravestones? I think that's what they're called??)
