Okay, today’s work outfit. I usually wear colored leggings under clothes because I am self-conscious about my legs (varicose veins). But, I’ve decided that I’m just going to need to get over it. Nobody really cares about my legs. I took this picture at work, and I can see I need to clean the mirror. The unfortunate line right at my boob is NOT on the outfit. ? Also, I’m trying to encourage people that aren’t “at goal” yet to post some outfit pics! DOOOOOO IIIIIIIITTTTT!!!!!!

Agreed! Well, not about the “pregnant” part, GreenTealael has been hitting the matcha a little hard this morning if she expects us to buy that. I refuse to wear clothes that are 3 million sizes too big, just because I’m not “at goal” yet. I want to feel good about how I look along the way. Plus, I really like clothes. I consider my thrift store purchases more like “renting” the clothes for a few weeks. They’ll go back into circulation.

Right?! The belt with the stripes, it’s perfect!
  4. Yesterday I ordered 4 things from ModCloth, and found about 12 items from Goodwill. My total cost was about $150. They will last a few weeks. I know it seems silly to spend it, but it makes me feel more comfortable with how I look. So it’s worth it to me.
  5. I shop at thrift stores and I get things on clearance. I want to feel like I still look somewhat professional at work, so I do get myself clothes as I shrink, including an occasional treat. Plus, I really hate baggy clothes. Sometimes I’ll find decent deals in the next size down at thrift stores or on clearance, so I have that and some clothes from a few years ago stored in bins under my bed. Every other week or so I pull them out and see what fits.

I love the stripes! And it looks very comfy.

Those are NOT too tight. You also need a smaller belt. I love the shirt color with the shorts, super cute.

It’s hot today and I’m working at home. But!!! I fit in these comfy size L shorts! Okay, so they are Lucy, which runs big, but still!
  9. I’m still taking mine. Maybe the type of antidepressant matters?

This is stunning. The color combination and linear quality. Just, damn.

I meant to comment on this last night: holy crap is it adorable! The skirt and tights especially. I love the colors together.

Okay, those pants are great. Brand?
  13. Yes, you absolutely can. Stronglifts is a great starting point. Focus on form to start, so that you have it down as you increase the weight you are lifting. I’m only 3 months out from surgery. I’ve lost about 50 lbs in that time, but no muscle mass, which is awesome. Plus, lifting is fun! I am not a new lifter, but other than normal recovery stuff, I’ve noticed no difference in my ability to gain strength after surgery versus before.

I LOVE this top and the sandals!

Those pants are WAY too big on you. Time to get some new cute ones!

Thanks! And you are right. Under the bed I have a couple of bins with my “to shrink into” clothes. It’s getting pretty empty in there, so it’s time to go to Goodwill and see what’s there! And maybe ModCloth clearance, and ummm Anthropologie clearance..... And yes, you need new clothes!

Ummm, ignore the ridiculous number of cans of kitty food behind me. I promise I’m not an animal hoarder! I foster pregnant cats and kittens.

    I agree.

More in-service today! Yesterday was a rough day in general, emotional fatigue city. There were a number of people that came to me with trauma, unrelated to the in service we had in the afternoon. So, I guess yesterday’s outfit made me look approachable, which is good. Today should be more positive. I fit in these jeans now! And while I love the linen jacket I’m wearing, it’s getting a bit floppy. That’s the downside of the weightloss, saying goodbye to so many cute clothes!

That’s super cute, especially the shoes. So tall!!!

Nah, I roast on my runs. Even in the winter I end up taking off my jacket.
  22. Whoa. Mine was 32k, which is kinda high imo. My part of it was much less.

    Agreed. You are tiny.
