  1. It's your evil twin :scared:
  2. You haven't PEED in 4 days?! I'm assuming you must be talking about that cause of the kidney infection... but then again, maybe you'd be dead not peein' for 4 days... I dunno. If you're talkin' about the other "bathroom... yeah... things are rough for me too. Breakin' out the MoM again tonight, and I'm gonna KEEP takin' that damn Benefiber. (I bought the chewable ones, cause I thought I'd take them for sure that way.. but they're grooooss!!!!)
  3. The lower body lift is where they cut almost all the way around, and pull everything (your lower area) 'up', kinda like pulling up pants, correct? I'd love to see how it turns out. Good luck, Puddin'
  4. How could you say no to a Dr. with a name like that?! LOL Imagine seeing his name on a list : Long, John poor guy
  5. Did someone tell you that 3 was the magic number?
  6. no referral from an internist or psychiatrist required either? It's must just be that your province doesn't require proof of medically supervised diets. How much are you looking/needing to lose?
  7. Is that the TLBC? How come people call it the Prince Arthur Medical Clinic? Is it all part of each other? Sorry for the q's! Lots of people here to help ya... just not me
  8. I said my day was bad I was just bein' honest, and trying to show the quantity.. ignore the quality! I eat veggies, and fruit. Not alot, not as much as I should, BUT.... I never ate alot anyways. I can eat practically anything if I set my mind to it! LOL
  9. sherrylynn, how does it work in NS? Do you have to pay for the band itself, and everything else is covered, like NB? In NB: - you have to have a BMI over 35 - provide written documentation showing failure of medical/dietary management over an extended period to control weight through a structured program has been completed. Must have been seen, assessed and referred for bariatric surgery by a psychiatrist and/or a specialist in internal medicine. - have some co-morbidities (quoting an email I got from NB Medicare)
  10. Yow... that sucks Cloe.
  11. ahh, Yoda... sounds like me in the good old days. I know it's bad, but here's my day so far: breakfast: XL coffee snack: donut lunch: cream of broccoli from Tim's AND the whole freakin' mini baguette!!!! snack: granola bar supper: making hamburger helper right now snack: i'll probably have one of those mini bags o' popcorn later.
  12. I wish I'd been given one
  13. haha, yeah! I stayed the night before, and a couple after... but I was with Cobourn in Mississauga.... maybe you would have said Mississauga? (even though I always just say Toronto) I dunno, let us know, but I can guarantee that yes, someone has!
  14. Wow, that's crazy! Good luck, and let us know how it goes!
  15. Apparently, it's coming! It was very cold yesterday (not compared to SK though!), and supposed to be more so today!
  16. yes, same as Yoda said... don't read the complications section. You don't need to worry yourself right now with things like that. I have been banded, hence the 95lb loss! Not doin' it all by myself
  17. nah... like I said, it was a few times, right after a (too tight) fill. Maybe it happens sometimes when you're initially filled, until the 'too-tightness' goes away. ? Sorry Astrotoes.... I'm sure you're seeing that it's not all puppies and bunny rabbits for everyone, but at least you'll go in prepared, and if nothing like anything you hear happens, you can consider yourself lucky! If it does, you know that it's not totally abnormal, and you shouldn't worry (too much) I really feel bad for people who go in knowing nothing but what the doctor tells them, and have no access to 'real' people and their experiences.
  18. Well... I picked mine. I was actually never given a goal weight by my Dr. Mine is just because it would be exactly half of my start weight. I'm sure everyone's personal goal weight would be different from their Dr's!
  19. Hi Sherrylynn, There was a gal, but she stopped posting. Do you belong to the Yahoo group? It's not very active, but I think they're almost all Beausoleil patients! http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/maritimes_bariatric_patients/ Have you been banded already, or still waiting?
  20. Yes, yes... careful with that. Try one first. (for several minutes!) You freaks who can last more than 5 minutes on it... AHHH!
  21. Cool, Cloe! You're so crafty
  22. Ahhh yes... Alberta and pretty much everyone else. Kudos to NB though... how they came about (mostly) covering it, I don't know. Maybe the surgeon moved here, and there was no one else doing bariatric surgeries? Who knows.
  23. ooooh, if she wants you to lie and say she lives there, don't!!! I'm kinda snickering here. I'm definitely getting old. :omg:
  24. Totally, me too... every week I tell myself it's over. I'm either going to stop losing weight, start gaining, or something. I still can't see myself getting to goal either, so... you're not alone.
  25. I don't know if its the same as what happened to me, BUT, after my last fill, for a few nights in a row, during the 1st week, I would wake it the middle of the night...coughing, after almost choking on liquid. It wasn't acidy. I tried to make sure I didn't eat LONG before bed (or at least longer than I'd been)... and it went away. Probably just on its own, but not eating long before bed is a good thing anyways. Actually... now that I think of it, I think I woke up choking on whatever it was, and ran to the bathroom to spit it out. I remember, cause it was in my mouth, and I coughed some more, and sprayed everywhere. :omg: It was a little freaky. Did I not tell you guys about that? :heh: Probably something I didnt' wanna freak anyone out with.
