  1. Happy New Year, guys! Hope everyone is recovering well from last night!
  2. I don't think there are any private clinics in AB, but I'm sure there's someone else doing it in BC. Dr. Leung? Isn't that right? I'll let someone else answer that!
  3. What!? I've always been told (and heard) to get at least 60 grams a day in!
  4. interesting... I don't think I've ever had dim sum either. Anything like 'potstickers"? Mmmm... Cloe, as much as I love Chinese food too, my experience doesn't go much further than beef/brocoli, chow mein, fried rice, s/s chicken balls, almond guy ding (?) hehe Tell me people... what does "chow mein" mean to you? (sounds philosophical, doesn't it?) Does this include some kind of meat and vegetable in a sauce, on top of some fat (sometimes skinny) noodles? Or meat/veg/sauce on top of some bean sprout concoction? I wonder, because up until I moved to NB, I only had it 1 of those 2 ways, and had no idea the other existed (and I hate it!!) And in NB, the new way seems to be the ONLY way! Just wondering what you guys get if you order chow mein.
  5. hmmmm.... perhaps :heh:
  6. Oh no... I was hoping January would slip by without us having to do goals!!! haha. I don't know yet what I'm at right now. I will weigh myself sunday morning, I think. I'm thinking that my next goal should definitely be to get to the 100lb mark!!! (but we'll see.. I'll let ya know sunday) (neegnagh... I see you over there at 194!! :heh: )
  7. No comment... I dunno. I contemplate fills now and then. As much as some days I think a fill would definitely benefit me, then the next day comes, and I have problems with EVERYthing I eat. Way too fickle!!! Look at me... I've been milkin' the same fill since August! It's good, and lucky for me, I suppose. I'm not complaining either... I'll take it. I will truly wait until I don't lose for at least 3 weeks in a row, make sure I'm doing things the way I should be, then see about making the trek to NS for one!
  8. Welcome Ahubar! I'm sure you're gonna be fine, and didn't screw anything up. Just don't do it again! You must have gotten a sheet from the clinic saying what kind of things to eat? And yeah, like Cloe said, eat til you're satisfied! You'll know when to stop.
  9. Hmmmm... NSV's for me: - all the 'you look great's this week have been awesome - I'm wearing a green, zip-up hoody that I bought when I was 15 (didn't wear for long, but I kept because I liked it and always wanted to fit it again) - no longer in the 2_ sizes! - I've grabbed a little wall mirror in our bathroom to check out my ass, more than a couple times! - that 'fat hunch' on the back of my neck that I was happy to see disappearing last time I posted here is gone! - I hear 'you're to bone-y" from Dan alot... and I feel them alot. - sit-ups on the floor are very painful, so I have to fold the mat into so my tail bone doesn't dig into the floor. (ie: less butt, closer to floor!) - for the first time since we've been together (almost 4 years), I let him pick me up, and now he does it all the time. And I'm not worried about hurting him. When he used to do it before, I'd do what 5 yr olds do, go all limp, so he couldn't grab me! - I had a picture taken of myself, and actually gave it to other people... almost like I was ok with how I looked!! - I caught myself RUNNING down the hallway of my apartment when I realized I forgot my laundry in the dryer for longer than its supposed to be :omg: - I've been tempted to run on the treadmill at the gym. I turned the speed up a few times, did a little trot. (decided I look too dumb running, and stopped pretty quick) I'm sure I've got more. Will add later !
  10. Congrats green! I've been wanting to resurrect this one too! What does thick waisted mean? Aren't we all?
  11. Yoda, awesome story about the in-laws! And I ditto what Cloe said, ONE choc. almond?! I just ate 3 ferrero rocher's! I think my mom got one of every kind of chocolates there are this year. It IS better than last year though, cause I WOULD have eaten the whole box. Oh yeah, congrats about the boobs :bananapartyhat:
  12. Congrats! Just think, soon Addition-Elle will be a thing of the past and/or you'll get dirty looks when you walk in! ha!
  13. Oh yeah, same... seatbelt was not a problem. It sits alot lower than your incisions will be. They'll give you sh!t if you don't have a pillow with you to put under your seatbelt when you leave the clinic, so have that on the plane, just in case you're uncomfortable. (it's nice just to have something pressed against your belly anyways, in case you're feeling like your guts might fall out.)
  14. Nice meal, mookie! Mmmmm... the Keg. I wasn't so lucky. If I ever go again, I think I'll be eating of the BF's plate :bananapartyhat: I loooooove their caesar salad, and those big dinner buns they give you, with the little cup of real butter... mmm... I tried many times to get Dan to go find out if they'd just let us go in and eat those. Same with Red Lobster... I'm not the biggest fan (I'd be lynched for even saying that in NB!), but those cheese buns you get before you meal... my fav. Think they could make a Keg steak dinner flavour spray?
  15. Thanks guys! So... I went out last night for the big Boxing Day bar night. I was boooooring! 99% of the people were 19 yr olds that I've never seen. Oddly enough, the people I did recognize, and said hi to in passing, seriously seemed to not have a freakin' clue who they were lookin' at. Or maybe they just really weren't that enthused to see me again, who knows! Apparently I look much younger, which is nice. I've heard that alot of people who lose alot of weight, and I'm glad I'm one of 'em. Casually inquired to one of the 'who the hell are you!?"'s about where the ex was this Christmas, and I guess he's living and still in Regina this year. OH WELL! Just more of a chance for me to be supa-smokin' when he does see me. (Along with all the other jerks I didn't get to see this time.)
  16. OMG, you have to let me know how they are! I can se myself walking around with a 'jalapeno butter' or smoked bacon spray in my purse, and takin' a hit now and then! LOL
  17. Hey Lila, I did have a similar problem. I'd say the first 4 weeks was really bad. You're getting to that point, so hopefully it'll get better soon. Any chance that one of the Mexican band surgeon/clinics is anywhere nearby and you could go for a little unfill? I was MISERABLE for that month, and about to do whatever I had to to stop it! There was alot of cheese dipped in cucumber/dill dip (so much that I'm not a fan of cheese alone anymore :bananapartyhat: ).Luckily things soon got better. I worry that it may have done harm, so if you can see about going somewhere for a defill, really consider it. But yeah, if you can't eat, DRINK! Do whatever you can to get it in. If you have to, drink it hot (tea), and that might make it easier. I'm sure you're not feeling like hot drinks in Mexico, but do it! Take care, Mandi
  18. So, I got a "Oh my god!" from friend #1, and a "where did the rest of you go!?" from her boyfriend. Then a "Oh my god, you look amazing!" from friend #2, whom I went out for coffee with. Guess WHAT! We ARE going out for a couple drinks tonight. I shall report if anything exciting happens!
  19. Awesome, Loriely! and yeah, Merry Christmas, and Happy Boxing Day!
  20. Just realized my ticker is NOT accurate! That's cause I weighed myself on an off day, I guess.. I won't be doing it again until I get back, so... guess I'll hold onto this one for a while. I was thinking I would be lucky if I didn't GAIN during this week, but I damn well better lose, for how much I'm not eating! Not stopping myself, just not really wanting to, all that much.
  21. You're welcome! and congrats again!
  22. interesting idea! People will just think you're super pretentious, eating your Kraft dinner with chopsticks! LOL
  23. Poor green! We're having our Xmas dinner today, and I hope I can get some in! Yes... the Tim's cup in the car is important. You can almost look like you're taking a sip to someone who doesn't know any better. (that is, unless they've seen that same cup sitting in your car for days! I don't know about everyone else, but alot of the time, a pb for me isn't a HUGE emergency. I can casually hold it, until I get to somewhere or something to spit it out. Even sometimes just being able to spit into a napkin is good (ehh.. but then if it's too slimy, that could be dangerous, and some slipping out of the napkin! Yuck!)
