  1. Myra ~ We'll be patiently waiting by our computers to hear the date. :ranger:
  2. This is really funny and I hope it brings a smile to someone today.:biggrin1: I decided to get my butt moving yesterday and walked around the house several times. My 5 yr old son was very interested in this thing called "exercise" mommy was doing. At first, he was riding his bike behind then in front of me and was enjoying his "exercise". He finally decided to join me in walking. It wasn't long until he grabbed himself. I asked if he had to pee. He said no, he was just adjusting. A few steps later he said, "Mommy my pee pee is moving, that's exercise too!!" I about died right there. :faint: I was so glad that we weren't in public. Then again, I'm sharing it here. You just never know what will come out of the mouth of a child.
  3. Teresita ~ You have such a beautiful heart!! You encourage me everyday. YOU are a special blessing!! It's OK sometimes to break down and get things off our chest. God made us so we need others and need to lean on Him. Let Him carry you!! We are there with you in spirit as well. Cancer is such an evil thing. It took my MIL after 6 yrs....ovarian cancer. I will pray for your friends mother & your friend. I hope they know the Lord personally. It is easy to feel sorry for ourselves when we have no idea of the trials someone else is facing. We do have so much to be thankful for and need to call on the name of the Lord even when things are going well....not just the bad times. This song brings me strength....check out this link. It's by Ray Boltz. http://www.wrensworld.com/anchor.htm
  4. Trish ~ I am so glad to hear you are one step closer to healing!! This shows the power of prayer (another thread). I just thought of something today as I was reading your most recent post.....my DH had an open wound from his hernia surgery. A portion of the wound had to heal from the inside out. We we able to get an in-home health care come to the house every day to clean and pack it. They showed me how and I almost passed out.:faint:I can relate in a sense of what your dealing with. Call your insurance to see if they offer that program after seeing the wound specialist. We had a co-pay along with it, but it was sooo worth it. After she came for the max visits, she left supplies and my DH took it from there. He is now completely healed. Take care and find comfort in knowing you are lifted in prayer and you will be fine!!! You are going to grow from this and help someone else someday. ~Keep in touch~
  5. Now that is funny!! Looks like Sampson is almost as big as Ray. This is a pic to treasure forever....thanks for sharing!!

Hang in there!! I think sometimes the Lord wants us to lean on others for support. We will be strong for you!! Also, don't count a child out. A D&C may even help in that matter. Don't give up!! I wish I could take all your pain away. :cry Just believe you are going in the right direction to get healthy and you have a bright future ahead.
  7. I hope a shovel is not what your thinking. I would either find that dog a home if I disliked him that much or find a product to keep him away from my plants. My first thought is, I would want to KILL him and second, I would be concerned he could die from something he ate. Is that an oxymoron? Check out this link: http://www.petsmart.com/global/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524441780739&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302033166&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374302023689&bmUID=1146543741541&itemNo=39&In=Dog&N=2033166&Ne=2 I wish you luck and hope you can solve this problem!! :phanvan Your plants are too pretty not to mention the work that goes into them.

My heart is breaking for you and I share your tears. I know nothing I can say can stop the tears, but take comfort in knowing that you are lifted up in prayer. :pray2: It's easy to say be strong, but doing it is another thing. I know you can find the strength in the Lord....let Him carry you. You can do this.....you WILL bounce back!! I know you will. I've seen your fiery side in some of your posts. (I hope this crazy jumping thing brought a smile) You are a strong woman!! I will pray for you to find peace and calm through all of this. I just know everything will be fine. You know you can always come here for love and support!! Please keep in touch and let us know how your doing.....everyday.....post and talk to us. We want to hear from you!!
  9. Try to get some sleep tonight Drewlou. :notagree I will say a prayer for you!! BTW, I don't care for Gatorade, but I do like the Isopure premix Grape. It's a lot like Kool Aid, really it is. Be advised though that my DH didn't like it. I guess to each their own. Give us an update when your able!!
  10. desertmom ~ How are you? What day do your go for you endoscopy? I am praying for you to have peace with God's will. He has promised to never forsake us and you are standing on that promise right now....as difficult as it is. Keep your eyes on Him...He will show you. Teresita ~:amen:&:amen: This is going to be a good week. I actually walked today!! TrishS ~ I have been reading about your whole ordeal and I'm praying for you!! Bless your heart. The Lord will lead you to the right place to resolve these issues. It's difficult to trust sometimes, we all know from experience. :phanvan Hang in there & you can count on prayers here!! juliegeraci ~ Welcome to LBT!! It's so great to have you here!! I am so glad you feel comfortable. LBT is a great place!! I too started praying b4 I even decided on the lapband. I have prayed for the Lord to open and close doors to let me know His will. Well, after a long wait and a lot of stress (which wasn't necessary) I will get my band on May 26th. I am 100% confident this is what the Lord has planned for me. Keep us informed of your progress and I hope you post often!!
  11. :wow2: YIPPEE!! I know I already said so on another thread, but CONGRATULATIONS!!! You are such an inspiration!!
  12. Tell them it's obvious the toll that yo-yo dieting takes on one's body and your taking a short break. However, they need not to worry, but should watch out for some BIG changes on the horizon. Then tell them you are SO excited about your future. Keep'em wondering and then YOUR in the driver's seat.
  13. Oh Paula, that is drop-dead gorgeous!!:faint:Does your dog really eat those? I would have a problem with that too. Try sprinkling some chili pepper around the pot and maybe he'll stay away. I may have to get me one of those. How long do they take to mature?
  14. Welcome FREE-TO-BE!!! :welcome2: It's nice to meet you and have you part of our May Crew. I understand where your coming from b/c I waited a long time for my letter and when I finally got it, it was scary in a sense. Reality kind of kicked in. Now I'm in a different mode and waiting for the 26th. I have gained 15 lbs since Jan just eating "last suppers". :faint: How terrible, but I did enjoy it to a certain degree!! Just be careful and remember that you will still be able to enjoy most, if not all, the foods you eat now only in smaller portions. Tonight my hubby is on his way to Wal-Mart with the kids and he's getting me some SF Blue Bunny banana Popsicles. YUMMY.....don't those sound good? :hungry: The nurse recommended them and she says they can't keep them on the floor after surgery. Don't let the complications thread scare you too much. There are a lot of variables of why things happen. I think you should be informed and know what could happen, but I personally think the good out weighs the bad in a land slide. Ask questions and become as informed as possible....it's only going to help. Take care and let us know when you get a date!! :biggrin1:
  15. Welcome txpeach!! Hope your surgery went today!! I would like to send my warmest wishes to the following people as well & also wish you all a speedy recovery!! :gluck: You will all be going to the other side this week and will be in my prayers....YEAH!! :clap2: sleepyjean Hippo's Hope LindaV txpeach velvetkiss Drewslou louis kelli mychevygirl Deann angie71 lululacy Londoner
  16. William steals my heart too. I love the ears turned back....silly dog. I had a beagle when I was around 10 or 11 and her name was "Tiny". Dad and the boys took her rabbit hunting. She was a great dog. I agree with you that they have little souls. Why else would we give so much of our hearts to them? Also, let me say the eyes of Mr. Hobbs & Casey just melt my heart. I love all animals, especially dogs & cats, but I can't help be partial to the breeds that have already touched my heart. I am going to have to dig into my pics and see if I can find one that shows we had 17 dogs at one time. That doesn't include the 2 cats, ducks, rabbits, or the chickens. We already had my Poodle, Andy and our 2 German Shepherds, Hitler & Shadow. Along came a stray Blue Tick Hound that claimed us as her family. We don't know who did the deed, but one of the shepherds get her pregnant & she had 13 puppies!! We never did find her original home, but were able to place her and ALL her puppies into good homes.

Since we're talking TMI.....I had a BM too and lost the reported pound I gained.....maybe I should have waited to report....nope. This does me good to be accountable. I am walking today with my perdometer. Telly ~ You inspire me! I can't believe you pedaled that far. You are AWESOME!! Tricia ~ Once again you amaze me. You are so beautiful and have pretty toes to boot!! Congratulations on ONEDERLAND, you give me hope. Also, SUPER DUPER job to the rest of you!!

3loves reporting.......up 1 lb  Boo Hoo. I hate dieting. I want my band!! :tired I'm still going to work on changing my habits. May 26th is just around the corner. :clap2:
  19. Thank you....thank you.....thank you!! This is going on the hard drive. I have a feeling I'm going to be an aloe vera junkie too!! It's a great tool for the tool.
  20. Boo Hoo.....we didn't race today!! :think Don't forget to set your alarms for noon on Monday. It's going to be a big show, especially if Tony does any more tricks like he did at the bush race. Hey, Smoke, keep the rubber on the track. :heh:
  21. Guess I'll bump this again b/c I have a question.....:eekB: R U taking the aloe vera juice on a daily basis b/c of a problem or is it good to take it as a preventive measure? Maybe TBM can gives us a comprehensive report on the do's and don't's of aloe vera juice and I will forward it to the dietitians at St. Vincent's b/c apparently they are missing the boat on this beautiful liquid called aloe vera juice!!
  22. Hi Robin ~ Sorry I missed you somehow on the above welcome. We're so glad your part of our May group!!! My doc doesn't require the pre-op diet, but I think it's a good idea. :welcome: YEAH....it's May here in IN b/c it's 1:04AM!! :whoo:

Hi Paula ~ I have never had your condition however, I have learned a little bit about skin care since becoming a BeautiControl consultant. Please understand I'm not really active in the business, but I am addicted to the products for my personal use. These products are top-notch. Anyone from Texas know what I mean? Check all your skin products including make-up for the following items: alpha hydroxy acids, alcohol, retinol, salicylic acid. These can worsen your condition. We offer a product for people with rosacea called Skin Equations Protective Services. I truly believe this may benefit you if you do in fact have rosacea. I can send you more info if you are interested after you confirm your diagnosis. BTW, this is not a commercial. I'm not active except for ordering for my personal use, but I can place orders at anytime if someone has a special need. :biggrin1:

I can't find any pics of our vehicles....I guess b/c they can't compete with the kids or animals. :eekB: I drive the 2004 Chevy Venture Van, silver. My DH drives the 2001 Chevy Impala, white. Nothing to get excited about I know....at this point, I'm just thankful for a power sliding door and money for gas. I love all your sporty cars. I'm a little partial to Honda's (I've 3 myself over the years) b/c I have 2 brothers that have made their living working for Honda of America. Myra ~ Texas Motor Speedway.....now your making me jealous!! I would LOVE to burn some rubber on that track.
  25. StrawartS ~ This is driving me crazy :phanvan I can't seem to remember the stool softener I took after the birth of my second son. :eekB: I do recall that Colace didn't do the trick for me, so I remember the OB recommended something else. I know I bought it at Wal-Mart. Great help, huh? I do think Melody has a good point b/c I remember something being said from the OB along those lines.....a stool softener is better than a laxative. I'm going to do some research and check my hard drive to see if I saved an e-mail or such. I will be needing it myself. :rolleyes
