  1. Vivid dreams are not uncommon. At least for me they did stop after a while. It may have something to do with the hormonal imbalances that rapid WL can cause.
  2. Welcome to the forums! We're happy to support you in any way we can. Good luck on your journey!
  3. Welcome, Lizzy! I shared many of your feelings when I came across this site. It is truly a blessing! I wish I had gotten my weight under control before my kids were teenagers. I didn't have surgery until my youngest 2 were seniors in college. No point in regrets, though. Best wishes on your journey!
  4. They look fun!
  5. I had my surgery when I was 58, so I doubt that's it. Do you take any medications that cause weight gain?

That is adorable!!! And I am totally envious of those legs!

Oh, man! Once we're neighbors I've gotta borrow that necklace! Love the dress! Would you believe I just bought an olive green one, too?

    Great looking dress and CONGRATULATIONS!!!?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️
  9. I'd check out their websites to see the sizes available.
  10. First off, calm down, Dee! Some of this is just the panic with an approaching major life change. It will be alright. Unless you develop lactose intolerance, there are absolutely no foods that you will never be able to eat again, if you choose to. You will just have to make allowances, if necessary. Lots of people have had food funerals (myself included!) and in the long run I don't think they were any more/less successful than others. You have to remember that the 60% number is just an average. Some do better, some don't. It's a mixture of how hard you work, how you eat, genetics, lifestyle, overall health (including medications), etc. Good luck on your journey and keep in touch!
  11. I like the Dannon Light&Fit Greek.
  12. Welcome, Paul! With your background, you'll probably end up answering more questions than you ask! But everyone needs moral support (and a little cheerleading never hurts, either!)

Love the color and the flirty hemline!
  14. Very common. You used to have room in your stomach for the perfectly normal air you swallow while eating and drinking. Now you don't.
  15. They tried for a jugular and missed so went for the subclavian. They put in a temporary IV just to get me into surgery and put the central line in after I was knocked out so I didn't feel anything. No complications just a pia. (The temporary one was in my left arm and I let them know that in my previous experience, it would blow within 3 hours. I'm very dependable that way. But that is my easiest vein to hit.)

    Off to a doctor appointment
  17. I was revised 10/31/18 for severe GERD. I was about 20# from goal weight at that point. 1 - complications - one of my incisions got infected, but it's the same risk for any surgery. 2 - I lost most of the remaining 20# over the next 4 months but found it very difficult because I had much less restriction with RnY than I had with the sleeve. (My sleeve was VERY restrictive and I liked that). My surgeon says that "revised" RnYs are not as restrictive as those done on a "virgin" stomach. I also found it very hard to redo all the post-op food phases because I had just "been there-done that." (My sleeve was Feb. 2018.) After the sleeve, I had never progressed past soup/stews so I had never gotten to the real "lean protein" stage. I can now eat regular meats. 3 - GERD - Yes, the procedure fixed my reflux issues. 4 - No regrets. I was on the maximum prescription-strength omeprazole, 2x/day plus TUMS as needed. I couldn't keep waking up at night with acid up my nose and in my mouth. It was going to destroy my teeth and esophagus. Gotta play the hand you're dealt, right?
  18. My skin is really sensitive to anything but paper tape. It blisters up and peels off with the tape if it's on for more than an hour or two. They probably used the least "sticky" type of dressing that they had and sent me home with others to put over the site when I showered but when I moved my arm, it popped open and water got in. (Probably operator error). I was just surprised that they had so much trouble starting an IV. I've donated 7 gallons of blood and never had issues. We found out later than my veins and arteries are tiny.
  19. My dressing didn't prevent the cathether from getting soaked and I had to go back to the surgeon to have it re-dressed. Didn't shower again until the d@mn thing came out.
