I thought I was in the clear...
Keep chanting This Too Shall Pass and it will. Benefiber, Miralax, Colace, Milk of Magnesia, a stick of dynamite, whatever it takes to keep things moving! These are drastic? times, the Times that try a Bariatric Person's Soul! May the Squaty Potty be with You!

Tips for Stopping Caffiene
With my history of ulcer production my gastroenterologist and my endoscopy surgeon have both stated no more caffeine Nd Frustr8 for you! One of the few things the two of them agree on regarding a personal plan of care. And wouldn't you just known I had bought myself a nice shiny coffee pot et cetera--- right before my surgery! Incredibly poor tuning on my part?

Did you know females in the South have their own special acronym. They are G.R.I.T.S., girls raised in the South, although I am Buckeye born and bred, but so many family members from Deep South, bless your ❤ I have to have to have an associate membership. We don't say relatives, we say "Who are Your People", honey that means" who are you related to?" Do come on in, sit a spell, I'll rustle somethin' up we can eat! You feelin' okay?

And watch out for the 15 gram liquid drink. Sorry Alex but that "Apple" has a strange aftertaste I could not stand to drink.

LiquaCel packets?
I had peach-mango liquidcell while at OSU last month, I could stand that flavor , tried 2 other flavors, a fruit punchy one and grape. If I hadn't worried about somebody falling, I would have dumped them out on the floor!

Protein shakes...
Probably what passes for fruit punch, yeah sometimes they are weird in taste. What I did was 6oz(1/3 cup) punch protein, 6oz minute maid 15 fruit drink and filled up the rest of the way to 16oz by water.

Full liquids agaiiinnnn.
No about half-way up between there and the shoulder on the inner side. The two tubes with their caps do hang down to the fold. I usually put an ABD under them so they don't rub and bug me and cover it with a slim elastic bandage through the day. And night of course I have the TPN pumping him I just can't unscrew the caps off so my son helps with that but I do 85--90% of it myself. No harder than putting mascara on or curling your eyelashes. Takes me 5 to 8 minutes total, worst part is the keeping things clean and sterile. And remembering to take the bag out of the fridge 3 hours before use so it will warm up, and I put my vitamins in just before it's started. Got pretty good at drawing the stuff up into the ? syringe, 5 ml of each one. Yellow is the fat soluble -smelled just like baby vitamins, the other one is clear, maybe water- soluable? Anyway after they are in you rock the bag like it was a baby, mixes everything up nicely. Oh it will be nice if someday i can eliminate it all, but considering if not I could have stayed malnourished, given myself a heart attack and died. I'm too ornery. to go quietly!????

Made my sleeve surgery date
My insurance approved first, maybe on General Principles? Goody, Frustr8 is going to have her surgery, maybe she'll stop bothering us! I knew it was okay but had to wait until September 5th because of vacations.

And has anyone ever needed a J-tube inserted? A doctor ( not,my surgeon) mentioned it as an alternative, think I would prefer my PICC LINE which I am starting to develop a truce with, to an J-TUBE through my abdominal wall. What think all of you?

Alcohol - a warning?
It was supposed to read No Wonder, my smart phone is demonic, I will proof-read, things look okay, I post it and the phone alters spelling and meaning. Spank Spank, bad little Verizon!?

Alcohol - a warning?
My paternal side of the family were small businessmen(aka moonshiners) my material grandmother was buried wearing her Women's Christian Temperance Union ribbon, now wounded I'm as mixed up as I am. Have I ever tasted Uncle's White Lightening, Oh yeah, had to sit down. on a tree stump. 1) because the world was spinning and 2) so I wouldn't shame Daddy by not being able to hold my liquor and so I wouldn't puke all over somebody's shoes. I voluntarily never drink again in case I might have an innate alcoholic gene. Worst thing my relatives did, one of my great great uncles had a keg of hard cider in his barn, males in that family all went out and imbibed what didn't freeze. Imagine what proof that must have been! If anyone is curious what proof means, it's % of alcohol content, so 100 proof is 50% alcohol. Scary Larry True Fact!

Sophomoreville - A Home For The the Tweeners

2 weeks post op - sharp shooting pain
Usually the lower left incision is painful for sleevers, lower right for bypass, that said if your surgeon was left-handed or learned by standing across the table, all bets are off. I swear some surgeons double stitch everything for safety purposes, don't want any inner herniation. But we all heal and get better. Didn't get this size in one day, so you'll probably heal in increments instead of one miraculous swoosh.?❤?
