No Surgery :(
Well I keep on keeping on. But I am learning to accept my age. I'm old enough to know better Young enough not to care Experienced enough to do things right & I realize how blessed I am to have this chance at a better life. I can't stop now, I have too many nay-sayers to prove wrong at this time. But thanks for caring enough to ask!?

Diarrhea
Basically bile without food to dilute it, I have had it before myself and when my IBS tendency flares it's almost always that shade and mucousy.

❤ JANUARY 2019 CHALLENGE ❤
There are only 4 words in a relationship that means more than I Love You and they are " I'm here for you". Don't you wish you could go back in time? Then you would have more time to know and love him. You are an incredibly blessed woman.

Protein is Disgusting to me now!
Going to attempt flaky tiapua or another mild fish, the rest of the things you quoted come roaring back up, even eaten slowly and well-chewed. ???I wanna rejoin the real world but Precious Pouch has stated I AIN'T READY & I must obey or repent with my little green barfie bags. Would you believe my Bariatric Clinic has a stack by the waiting room door so we can help ourselves?

That is one of the reasons you have that plastic incentive spirometer to use, keeps you from developing pneumonia, helps get rid of your left- over gas.

When Can I Travel After Gastric Bypass Surgery?
I would break it down to segments on that long a trip. Get out, walk and take bathroom breaks often. Take plenty of fluids along so you don't get dehydrated. And remember you may still tire out quicker than you used to.

Concentration difficulties?
Well perhaps it is low calories or low protein like I had, I am thinking clearer after my TPN was introduced more like the good parts of my presurg life, although there were many facets I don't like to remember, maintaining a sense of humor is important to me. After all, none of us will be leaving this world alive, might as well make our lives together pleasant.

❤ JANUARY 2019 CHALLENGE ❤
My proudest 2018 moment? Well It was when I was rolling into the Operation Room at OSU at a couple minutes past 7 on My Wonder Wednesday September 5th 2018. I had been through so much in the 3 years I had been seeking surgery, the ups, the downs, the promises that turned into lies from Surgeon #1.The people who told me I was too old, that I was unworthy, that I never would pass my pre-surgical specialist consults, that I would never find a surgeon willing to even touch a 72 year person. I had my revenge by being commited and successful in all things that mattered. If I hadn't been lying down and with a little Happy happy Joy Juice my anesthesiologist Dave had slipped into my IV already, I would have stood up, gone into a chorus of We are The Champions, and put my arms over my head like a prize-fighter! And there was my Dr Needleman , waving from my left like he promised, and the rightness of it all , almost made me cry. But there were no tears, no fears, no last second qualms, I was where I was meant to be and from that moment on, my new life began.

Bariatric clothing exchanges in DC?
Stouffers in Cleveland has been helping the people off from Lewis Space Center, quite a few beaty schools and barber's are giving haircuts and make-overs for free to keep up the morale but the food banks are having trouble keeping up with demands. How long can this go on? People are on furlough that never were before. Hope this doesn't bring a recession or similar!

Honesty
And not every successful posts much, usually more skewed towards complaints, the happy people are off living the Life of Riley and doing well. But a lot more happy posters since I started over a year ago, and although some facets of mine have not been perfect, I don't regret my surgery, wish I could have done it at a younger age, but I would never want to go back to the Old Frustr8, she was a sick unhappy lady with a lot of pain and sorrow. That was over a hundred pounds ago, and still have 80 or so to go where my goal is. I don't know how low I can go, but at 5ft8in anything below 200 would be a major blessing, I might never make it down to 175 at my age. And that will still be okay.
