Seems most of you are having surgery soon. I'm at the very beginning. Met with surgeon and 2 weeks until my 1st of 7 months with the nutritionist. I know it will go fast but right now it feels it's dragging

That's exactly me. All tests good except the prediabetes! I did the seminar in November but didn't see the surgeon until the beginning of March. Oxford has me on 7 monthly visits with the nutritionist. I have my 1st visit on the 23rd. I'm also hoping for the end of the year surgery. Let's start 2019 off feeling better! -

I can't wait to walk and walk without hurting. I want to be able to do the things at the gym that I can't do now. I haven't been to an amusement park in ages. I love them. I don't want to be the most overweight person in the office. I want to wear heels without pain. Any kind of cute shoe without pain. Clothes...oh my clothes. I can't wait!

I have been reading a lot the past couple of weeks. I have had my consultation with the surgeon. I am meeting with my gp Monday to get him on board. I have to make the 1st of my 7 months pre op requirements of nutritionist. I am thankful for that. I need to learn to be prepared for my post op life. I love reading all these stories and I can't wait to be one of the great stories.

I am so depressed with my weight gain and I've been going to the gym for small group training and Barre class. So I'm a toned fat person lol

Just replaced my old fit bit with fitbit blaze. I love the 2 classes and sometimes zumba that I do already. I've decided I need to up my Water intake. I've been lax on that lately. I'm trying to cut back on coffee or move to Decaf. That will be hard

Not sure what to tell you, but going through this along side of your boyfriend could be a great support idea for both of you. I'd take the first step while you consider. Taking that step doesn't commit you to anything, but gets you started now in case you decide to go with it. Maybe make a list of pros and cons? Goals in life and how surgery may/may not help you reach them? I'm only 4 weeks out so can't claim miraculous cures yet, but my brother was sleeved a few years ago. He had medical issues and had gotten so large that his legs were starting to bow. He reports that everything in life is so much easier now. For me, my decision was finalized (while I was starting through the steps) when, while on vacation, I realized that things I really wanted to do were off-limits to me simply due to my size. I was tired of letting my weight make decisions for me.

I am new to this. I went to a seminar in November to support my boyfriend who is looking into surgery. I walked out wanting the surgery myself. my boyfriend is on month 3 of nutritionist meetings. I haven't made my 1st appt yet. I have people who want to tell me what they don't tell you about regarding the surgery. I have read so much. hood, bad, indifferent. I know 5 people who have had the surgery done. best decision of their life. I guess I'm nervous about taking the first step. any tips from anyone would be helpful. like is there something you wished you did proof to surgery? is there s checklist of items needed post surgery? any help would be great
