Head Hunger vs Actual Hunger
I agree with @KimA-GA, that real hunger and head hunger are very distinct for me. Real hunger, then most food sounds good, healthy food included. Head hunger is specific foods, like pizza or chocolate, and healthy food isn't appealing.

Dr. V has been pretty discredited by "retiring" from bariatric surgery and then shilling MLM snake oil

A couple months back a taco stand opened up in the evening on the corner near my house. I had resisted until last night. Now I'm in trouble because it was the best al pastor taco I've had in a minute, and it's just a 3 minute walk ?

Dealing with Sabotage
IMO, the real problem here is your husband. "my husband has said, she can't buy a house until interest rates settle down, there's no rentals in the area and he can't kick her out because she will have nowhere to go, so we just have to put up with her until then." None of those things are your and your husband's problem. I'm sure there are some rentals, somewhere. She has lost the privilege to live in your home, and she needs to deal with the consequences.

I don't think I've actually measured anything for years. I think the rice lesson is a good one because it's all about proportions. My bf's house has no measuring cups, so I make rice as one pint glass of rice, with two pint glasses of water, and eyeball salt ?♂️ I just looked online for the Shan spice mix I used to use regularly, but no joy . I'm much too lazy to make the drive to Little India, 10 miles away ?

Food Before and After Photos
So one last fancy-ish post for a while for me. My meal on the plane (on the way back from vacation ?) Pea soup with mint (this was delicious, minus the actual peas ?) Salad with a ranch like dressing (who knew they had ranch in Poland!) Pierogi with cottage cheese, beef ragout and diced root veggies. This may have been my favorite plane meal ever. I was doubtful on the cottage cheese, but it was creamy and didn't have the tang we have in the US. Every single bite was delicious. I took a long pause mid meal and finished it all. Beer and movie time Midflight cheese plate (no after but I ate only the pesto cheese and grapes. I actually asked if they had any leftover pierogi plates ? Lunch before landing. Spinach & ricotta ravioli. The only standout on this plate was the poached shrimp, fresh green and delicious sesame dressing (in the cup)

Back through the history of this thread I started out posting my meal when I was in the weight loss phase, like a quarter sandwich, lol. Then I posted my dining out meals, from work travel. Then I posted the low carb meal preps I was doing primarily for my bf (cause my diet is anything but low carb!). Then early pandemic I was doing large scale meal prep for three different (but small) households, because of grocery scarcity, and the sudden end to my work travel gave me free time. But I burned out on cooking a while ago. Now I just post the occasional home cooked meal, or something special or fancy. Like @GreenTealael I don't post because how many times a week do people want to see a paper bowls with tater tots and season salt, or an 80% eaten McChicken ?? This is what currently makes up a large % of my weekly diet (when I'm not in France ???) ?

Now I want dal! I wish I wasn't in such an anti-cooking stage. It kills me that it costs $15 for a tiny container from a restaurant, when it is so easy and cheap to make.

Possible TT
BBL = Brazilian butt lift tt = tummy tuck

Possible TT
He’s primarily a BBL surgeon. I wouldn’t choose him for a tt, particularly after massive weight loss.

Ugh, I just got back from a tasting menu dinner, was supposed to be 8 courses, but with all the add ons, it was 12-13? Ready to burst, couldn't finish my wine pairings ?. I'm sure you all feel very sorry for me, lol

Ok, so that is large ... BUT ... taking home leftovers is the norm and pretty much expected in the US. The rest of the world that's not really a thing.

Tonight’s dinner, three courses, before and after. As you can see by the menu, the price is for three courses, so that’s the expected norm First course, sheep’s milk foam with parsnips (no after, ate it all) Second course, Cod with fennel Third course, lemon cream with meringue shards

My error, I was mixing up my French & American terminology. The salad and burger were two different dishes, mine and my friend’s dish). I was using entree in the US meaning an main course, not a French as starter. This was a casual one or two course meal
