Time will Tell
I am having surgery on 12/16. They are going to repair my hernia and check on my sleeve. My GERD is crazy. The only thing that doesn't hurt to eat? "pasta" I have gained weight. I feel awful most days and each night. If this is the new wave in medicine? Wow

My PCP won't support my decision to have the surgery in Mexico
There is an offten elitist attitude regarding health care. Mexico has some great facilities and some not so great facilities. Just research and make the best choice for your health.

8 years post op - weight gain
agree with "Fluffychix" "you have to your health a priority." I was pushing and fighting for revision "due to GERD, gastritis, a hernia and weight gain." I fought for revision. Lost some battles and now on the road to winning. I can possibly get revised. However, when I achieved my goals over the mandatory next 6 months waiting period? I will no longer need revision. Well, I hope with medical support my weight loss and health goals will be achieved.

Medicare coverage for revision
Okay, this is going to sound silly! Have you gone back to a nutritionalist? Do you chew your food and eat slowly? I am just asking because I have the same type of issues! I have to undergo a new EDG. Meanwhile, I am changing my habits like eating, chewing and small bites; When I do it helps! When I don't it hurts. [emoji30]

Fight, fight, fight and fight
The latest, my GERD is getting better by my change in eating habits. Most days, I feel like a perpetual science experiment! I am afraid to eat. I don't want to have acid. My first visit to the nutritionalist is this week. I will have a clear plan at that point. If I am revised? It will occur in late March. Time will surely tell!

Doing weird things in the middle of the night?
Yeah, I get it. One night according to my Fitbit, I walked "10,200" plus steps. My husband didn't notice. I wasn't on any meds or drinking. I just make the doors are locked and the car keys are hidden.

My revision story month 1 of 6 [emoji4]
Thanks! I had the same arguments. However, I looked at some of his studies. He is one of the first doctors I can trust, "well a little." Tips so far, "eat slower, move more (I been counting my steps for awhile) I had stopped pushing forward and remember why I did this in the first place. Well, I added the last one. I will tell him if things get worse. They are monitoring me monthly starting Tuesday. I have an appointment with gastroenterologist bariatric specialists. This is my journey: HW: 283 CW: 226 GW: 155

My revision story month 1 of 6 [emoji4]
Okay, I want my sleeve revised or maybe not? I have to go through a 6 month process. I am beeing seen by one of the top bariatric surgeons. So here are some positives: (1) I have not gain all my weight back. (2) Having another procedure does not guarantee my GERD will be completely eliminated. (3) I will work with a specialist for WLS patients with GERD. (4) Following this lifestyle, I can get healthier and lose more weight. (5) I am willing to do this for at least 6 months. (6) My hernia will continue to be monitored. (7) I will increase my exercise.

I can’t date overweight people
Reading all of this is saddening. Why would any not date someone "exclusively" due to size? That is just as silly as the people who did the same thing to you. Hate is hate. Stop playing into the shallow games. You can look okay on the outside and become hideous on the inside. Nobody get a pass because "they use to be fat." Take care of yourself. Again, you are still not perfect. Congrats on the weightloss.

Sleeve revision to RNY or Bypass reason
GERD, gastritis, hernia and some weight gain. Most days my GERD is so bad that I feel like heck. I just want to get it done and over.

Cravings? HELP
Counseling will help, breathe and journal. Remember why you had WLS. Are there any groups in the area? Before a crisis starts prepare. Don't give up.

Sleeve revision to RNY or Bypass reason
I'm at the start over part of this revision process. My first appointment with a new doctor will be on Monday. I was told that it will last 2 hours. The clinic also told me to be "open." I know what is needed for my health. I have one of the top doctors (that is what I am told). I feel happy and scared.
