Gerd
I read alot of research. I pulled that stats from a source. The "95%" was a quote. I have to look it up again. It the success rate from sleeve to bypass related to the absence of GERD.. I'll give you the source later today.

Fears wls
My biggest fear before my revision? Getting a call saying "We have changed our minds. You can't have the operation."
-
HOLY BANANAS!! Fast Track and I am still debating
Here the deal in my view. A person can sabotage either procedure. However, read the medical journals that deal with obesity and look up the psychological studies after wls. You have to prepare your Mind and body for long-term success. It's not just about the weight. Your life is going to change in multiple ways. Counseling can help throughout this process.

Revision to rny
How much more weight are you trying to lose? GERD sucks! Thanks for sharing! I hope to lose at least 50 with no GERD after my revision.
-
RNY surgery not as Expected
I pray you feel better soon. Sounds like you are over the hardest part. Take it one day at a time. I take notes. It helps me gauge my progress. Go slow and get some rest!

Revision to rny
They didnt tell me that it would go slow. However, I am preparing for that possibility. I hope to be at goal by Dec.

Back again family
This time should work. Just dont give-up. Keep pushing forward until you get your needed result. This is your body.

No support system
I was afraid to tell my husband about my revision. As we are both on my insurance from my employer. They only cover me for this procedure. He has a little GERD and was sleeved a month after my sleeve. We used his insurance. Additionally, he is a cáncer Survivor. I feel alot guilt. However, I must still move forward.

Revision to rny
Thank you for sharing! Did it take longer for the weight to start coming off? How long did it take to lose 40 pounds?
-
Stop eating and drinking night before surgery
I hope you all did great today!
-
kicking sugar
Before! I had sugar withdrawal. I was sleepy, unkind and just kinda out of control. It's still not easy after my sleeve. I have now stopped again. At least my anti-depression and anxiety meds will help me blance.
-
Clear liquids 2 days prior to operation
It can go by fast. Do some things that you like to past the time and enjoy this time. Sugar free ICE things are great.
-
Anyone Else Have Nighttime Reflux Coughing Or Vomitting?
Yes, I have had reflux since shortly after my sleeve. Recently, I had add what I call the "reflux cough." My throat is always sore. My revision is in Mid-May.

Surgery today: Feeling hopeless
Before or after my sleeve, I should have been in counseling. I had too many things going on including grief and loss. I was sick both mentally and physically. I would tell most individuals going through this process; Please seek profesional mental health support. Select someone who has experience with Bartrics.
