I am having my surgery done late today.
I am not proud to say that I did not follow my pre-op diet perfectly. In fact, I got so hungry that one day before when I am supposed to drink only clear liquids I ended up eating a meal. I just gave up. I have this feeling that nothing is going to help me anyways.
I have been trying to lose weight forever. Since I got pregnant it has been a never-ending battle and I always look at food to comfort, reward and celebrate.
I had gastric balloon but barely lost 8 pounds on it. I have had lipo twice on the abdomen. I just bounce back bigger and bigger.
Now I am to have this surgery tomorrow which I hope is safe considering my liver probably did not shrink much. Knowing myself, I am not sure if this operation will be worth it because I know I will try to eat the same way again.
So how did you change your relationship with food? How did you give up on it without being miserable? Is there any hope for me at all?
