  1. According to my research and surgical team the answer is "yes." I need to lose around 64 pounds. Time will tell [emoji4]
  2. Thanks! I hope it works for me too! I just want to lose the burn[emoji95]
  3. I hope so. I have the very same things. However, I spent the last 3 or so months proving it. Have you taking meds and taken any test that prove you current issues?
  4. The latest, after 4 or 5 test totaling over $50,000? I have severe GERD. Medical treatment is revision. It cost more money to keep testing me then the procedure to fix the issue. In the states, insurance has gone crazy. Now, I am waiting on a new date. Meanwhile, I am the one in constant pain. I have the best docs ever. My insurance well TBD. Fighting for my health. Make sure you fight for yours.
  5. What was your PH level? I am happy you feel better. I pray that it will work for me too!
  6. Okay, what happened to the 95% who have relief from GERD? Did anyone else feel better after revision?
  7. Are you walking?
  8. Thank you so much! I appreciate the prayers!!!
  9. The damage is well noted and diagnosed. I have damage to my esophagus, stomach lining and a hernia.
  10. Thanks for the hope!
  11. My sleeve still exists. However, GERD is horrible. My current issue is insurance. They're requiring a peer to peer review. This indeed sucks. I have paid for insurance for close to 20 years. I go to the doctor. I didn't ask for GERD. I am in pain every day. When I only drink water? I am in pain. This sucks! Why the heck is this fair? I am not giving up. I am frustrated and fighting.
  12. Good job! So now its time to get mental ready for this procedure. I glad you have your date. Now, get your self ready for this tool. Congrats!
  13. I would say speak with the dietician again. You are still in honeymoon period. Talk to your doctor about what you are feeling. This is the best time for you to lose weight. Take advantage of it. It gets harder with time for most of us.
  14. If you try it again? They can give you medication for anxiety. I had to have it before my procedure last month. Its usually not a problem especially if it is on your chart.
  15. What happened?
  16. Maybe change doctors?
  17. Again, I didn't know that my sleeve would result in reflux. However, it did. Yet, It was what I needed at the time. For the next 48hrs; I have a device around my neck and a capsule in my throat.
  18. My doc would have allowed me to have RNY. At that time, anemia was an issue. RNY and anemia don't go well together. The sleeve allowed me to lose enough weight to have other necessary surgeries. Now with GERD conversion to RNY is the best option for my longterm health. As I am no longer anemic. Each person has to take the steps needed for their health. The is no "one size fits" all.
  19. Regrets? When I had my sleeve it was the correct surgery. After almost 5years I still have no regrets even with GERD. However, I need to move forward to bypass. It's has not been easy. I would be either really sick or dead without my sleeve. My GERD is horrible. I have to fight for the new procedure. I am willing to do whatever it takes for life long better health.
  20. Great story! I wish you much success. I am working on this too. In states with insurance. I was sleeved 9/2014. My issue is not just weight gain. I have sever GERD. It's just sucks. I am in pain most of the day. However, I believe it will be resolved.
  21. Congrats! My new date for revsion is now 6/14. Which is funny because my sleeve was on a Friday too! How long did it take for your approval? My offical insurance approval is not in yet. However, this no longer worries me! I have some pending other possible options.
  22. Why are you doing the revision? What is your BMI? What type of surgery did you do previously? I am working on the samething. For me it means more testing.
  23. Good luck to you! Congrats, when you wakeup your tool will be installed. Make sure you take care of yourself. We are all here to help you as need. Good speed!
  24. Not, we have both lived better over the last 4 years. However, we have never gotten to the goals we have select. My GERD is really an issue. He has other issues. Yes we have had some degree of success. It's not over for this phase of healthy living.
