I chose the sleeve over bypass 4 years ago. I cannot say that is was wrong choice at that time in my life. I know WLS saved my life. Now, I am getting revised for múltiple reason including never getting to a healthy weight, GERD and a hernia plus my sleeve was never a sleeve.
I am happy you only lost a few locs. I got my hair loced in 2014 after being sleeved. Now, looking forward to getting healthier with revision. Life is a journey. I am just happy to be alive and particpating.
Spend the weekend reading about the difference in outcomes! What is your phyical and mental like today? Take time to think about how you want to live? Talk to your doctor? Make a choice you can live with! Hopeing for the best for you!
In 2014 I was 272. The sleeve was my first choice. I was very anemic at that time. The bypass could have possibly killing me. I am more balance mentally and physically today. Found out that the shape of my stomach is not correct. This alone has cause GERD. I also have a hernia and a few other things. So, it's time for me to move on, heal and lose additional weight. I am just happy to have this second chance.
Hi, I can understand your frustration. You must remember to put yourself first. Most kids just don't have the support to give especially at the start of this journey. This journey takes a mind shift. It is going to take a daily fight with yourself to get your goals. Don't set yourself up to have to fight with them too! This is a great place for support and other sights. Sometimes we have to learn to be selfish. This is your body and health.
