  1. Awesome!!!!!... At my birthday party, my sister thought my plate was my 2 year old neice's!!!!
  2. I'm a scale conscious, calorie counting maniac... most times!!! I need to stop!!! LOL.. Not weighing each day.. but I think about it... I don't log on weekends, but I keep a very good tally in my head... and I'm counting at the table... I think my friends think I'm praying.. but I'm adding and subtracting calories!!! I was told to STOP counting too.. but I guess it hasn't clicked yet!! LOL
  3. YEAH!!!! Best wishes!!!
  4. AWESOME JOB!!! You are amazing!!!! Congrats!!
  5. I don't think I was given a "Never again" list...
  6. Congrats on your weight loss... Keep following the plan and the weight will come off!!! Remember stress is counterproductive!!! Keep up the good work!!!
  7. See what the carb difference is between a flour and a corn one....
  8. Willow, I'm glad you were inspired!! Heck, I had to go back and read those posts... Sometimes it's so easy to let life get you out of routine... but, I've made some adjustments... Best wishes to you and keep up the good work!!!
  9. Great job Mike!!! I'm with you on the poor food choices sometimes!! One night I didn't eat dinner because I wanted cheetos and 5 M&Ms!!!! I know.. for shame.. lol
  10. I love shopping!!!! Hehehe....
  11. WOW!!! Awesome job!!! That's amazing!!!
  12. Awesome job!! Congrats!!!
  13. I will be going home to visit my family next week.. so, perhaps I'll have more insight then.. but right now, I guess you should talk to each one of them individually and explain that you are aware that your life change has affected them... and perhaps they don't realize that you are still a person who EATS and who deserves to be treated w/ mutual culinary respect! LOL... I would explain what I found rude and unacceptable and ask that it not happen again.. Ask if there's anything they'd like to add, in case they want to explain their perspective... Then if it happens again, use your fork (and not to eat with!!)..
  14. You look so cute!!!! I do karaoke every Friday and Saturday!!!... I'm actually working for the company now as a KJ!!!... Awesome job Lady!!!
  15. Most insurance companies look at you BMI when you start the supervised weight loss.. I wish I would have lost more during my 6 months.. but that's spilled milk!! LOL... I did learn to listen to my body and how to modify my eating habits, eat on schedule and some of the changes I would go through after being sleeved.. I don't think you can prepare for everything.. Heck, I didn't know this journey was so emotionally and mentally engaging!! LOL.. I wouldn't trade my new life for anything though!!! Best wishes!!!!
  16. I had steak (very tender from a taco) about 10 weeks out... I think it depends on the cut and how it's prepared for me... Sleevina doesn't like (charcoal) grilled meat, but does fine w/ meats cooked on a flat top!! LOL.. I don't know..this girl is something... I'd try turkey and fish because they are less dense and provide just as much Protein... Hope everything works out for you!!
  17. Everything varies from surgeon to surgeon.. But I was on a 7 day liquid diet prior to surgery...Most recommend chewable or liquid vits to start...i did chewables until I was 10 weeks out and then started on gummies... I did a liquid Vit D because it was very low....I'm not sure about ceasing your meds... your surgeon will tell you all of that... I had to get my IUD (Mirena) removed... hopefully I can get it replaced next week!!! Congrats and I so happy for you!!!
  18. Congrats and I'm sending prayers for speedy recovery your way!!! YEAH!!!!... Sliding over and making room for you on the Loser's Bench!!!
  19. I had a little "stitch" for about 8-10 weeks.. Sometimes if I move awkardly, I can feel a little pull near my largest incision still.. no pain, just a twinge of discomfort... It will get better each day.. Just take it easy and listen to your body...
  20. I can't eat eggs from the carton!!! It's like they hit my stomach and Sleevina says "YUCK!!"... I can eat shell eggs prepared any way...
  21. Are you taking a ppi for acid???
  22. Congrats!!! So glad for you both!!!! One step closer to living the sleeved life!!!
  23. Take a deep breath.... and let all of this stuff go!!! It will work, you will lose the weight!!! We have to take things one day at a time and utilize our sleeves to the fullest!!! Sometimes changing up our eating, exercise, increasing our water is what it takes to cause an end to the dreaded stall.. Try one of those things for a week until you find out what's working for you this time.. Our bodies are ever changing and what works this week, may not work next week or next month... Stress is counterproductive... so, breath and WORK YOUR SLEEVE!! You can do it!!!
