  1. I felt like this about 2-8 weeks out as well... I had a lot of anxiety about eating the wrong thing and messing my sleeve up... I had to take a step back and relax... I worked on staying hydrated and tried to find a good Protein drink/soft food that I could tolerate... Also, I don't think you should wait until you're hungry to eat or drink.. That can cause you to be malnourished and dehydrated... I had to put myself on a schedule... When I eat/drink on schedule, I get 64+ oz of Water in and eat between 65-80 grams of protein. Have you experiment w/ many foods?? I think I ate eggs, tomato bisque Soup and chicken sausage for a month!! These were the only foods that I could eat w/o feeling grossed out.. I couldn't have Protein shakes for 3 weeks or so post-surgery.. once I did, I felt better... Now, I enjoy my meal time.. I actually can savor each bite,... all 6-8 of them.. I look at it as, I don't have space to waste on horrible tasting, non-nutritious junk!!... No, that doesn't work all the time for me.. b/c I still love Cheetos!! LOL... But it's a start.. I hope this helps a bit..And I do believe things will get better!!!
  2. My mom told me that when I lost 12 pounds on my pre-op diet!! It was torture!!! I literally had to clear my house of all foods and not go out/interact much w/ people... I knew I couldn't do that long term w/o help.. My sleevina was a Godsend!!! Don't allow preoccupation about post-op diet cause you anxiety... You're almost there.. I believe after surgery, you're gonna read this post and laugh!! Blessings to you...
  3. Prayers and good thoughts toward you!! YEAH!!!!.... Welcome to the first day of your sleeve journey!!!!!

  12. I had 2 weeks of clears, 2 weeks of full liq/soups and 2 weeks of mushies... Thank God that's over!!! Nurse, try making your drinks w/ crushed ice.. I needed something to chew and it helped a lot...
  13. I raise my hands and feet about old habits!!!! Pre-surgery, I would go days and barely eat because I was so disgusted w/ myself!! I celebrated my birthday last month and had sweets galore!! Today, I had to MAKE myself eat Breakfast because i was so disgusted and disappointed that I make horrible decisions... Thank God and Sleevina that too much sugar makes me sick and I HATE being nauseous.. So, today, I'm starting over... embracing my sleeve as a tool to help me deal w/ my food issues... This is truly a journey and not a quick fix... The blessing and the curse is that our journey is as unique as each individual partaking in it.. Blessings and best wishes guys.. We can do this!!!
  14. I love Culver's... I get a side salad and a chicken breast... split it w/ who ever is with me... I some Soup (eat about 4 spoon fulls) and I'm good... And Potbelly chili... I can eat about 4 oz of it.. So good and full of protein!!!
  15. Awesome job!!! I've been feeling the same way!!! Only, my feelings caused me to be a little depressed and not eat... well, cheetos and ice cream instead of reall FOOD!!!.. Anyway... I had an event to vend on Saturday and a friend of mine snapped a pic of me while I was talking to a customer.. She commented to my best friend/business partner how small I was looking (Yeah right!!).. anyway this AM at Breakfast she was like.. girl, let me show you something... she pulls out her cell and shows me the pic.. she's was like.. do you see how small you are!!! I couldn't believe the pic.. if it wasn't for my afro puff, I wouldn't have believed it was me!!! Keep up the good work.. and remember, this is a process.. we have to dedicate ourselves to it moment by moment!!
  16. For me the most difficult part is the level of emotional engagement and evolution that is necessary to have s balanced and positive outlook.... My physical body is changing very rapidly, but my mind struggles to keep up... sometimes I feel like I'm in the twilight zone or having some kind of outer body experience... and I am... I'm moving out of my old body, into a healthier, more active one...
