Hi, there Holliday How did you HOT PINK shoes work out for ya? I am going to treat myself to a new outfit tomorrow. I am still hot hungry and keeping up the energy, so no complaints on my end. Hope all is as well for you too. Globall, we are ready to hear how you are, hope you are feeling better each day. Talk to the rest of you when you get time. Keep up the good work all you Hoosier Bandsters.

When I was on Liquids this is what I tried: chicken Ramen soup without the noodles, Tomato soup with sour cream in it, Lemonaide, tea, went out to eat and orderd french onion soup without cheese and bread of course and I use the Unury for protein. Hope this helps, and good luck.:cool2:

New and needing help
Hi, there I had my band put in on the 5th of May and I too cannot tell that I have anything different as far as my insides go. If I push in hard enough I can feel my nickel size port, but it just feels like a hard spot. I don't feel like an ailen or bionic women... I just feel like a woman on her way to a new me.. Good luck.

It's My Turn!
 Way to go Holliday!!!!!!!!!! I'm glad that you were able to find something that you like to drink. It isn't cheap to be thin and healthy that is for sure. $5 is just plum rediculous for one 20oz drink. I been hangin in there with Welches grape juice, V8, Sweet tea, lemonaide and my Protein drinks. Hope you like the tom soup with sour cream, it was a nice switch up in the taste department for me. I have also tried the bean and bacon, just strained it and I thought the broth was pretty good. Anyway, good luck the rest of the week and I keep you posted after I go to the doc on Thursday. Hey there Global, happy to hear you survived the Uper GI deal, I am glad that I didn't have to go through that. I did when I had my Gall-bladder surgery and hated it just as much as you did. Hopefully the beautiful day lifted you spirts this afternoon. Well, I am over and out for now, be blessed and be good to yourselves.

I am feeling great, still no hunger or feeling of being deprived. I am suprised that I have as much energy as I do, but I truly am doing well. I start on "Mushies" on Monday, so I am looking forward to that. Good luck on the Upper GI tomorrow, Global and be prepared for about two hours when you go in for you Pre-Op appointment. Holliday, my doc didn't have me on a pre-surgery diet either. I just decided to go on all liquid the day before just so I wouln't have a bunch of stuff in my system. Welcome Lele... and everyone else. Have a great weekend everyone!

I am not hungry yet and I hope it starys that way for awhile longer. My ports are healing fine, all the stury stips are gone. I go in on the 22nd for my first check up and will find out then what my pounds lost will be. I am just amazed at how good I feel. This was a great choice to make for myself and I hope you all agree too. Have a super day!

It's My Turn!
 holliday, you had me rollin with the smilly's. Yea, I just got done drinking an 6oz cup of skim milk/hot choc mix with no problem. It took me about 20mins to drink it and I am way full. I had about 10 oz. of tomato soup for dinner last nigt, took me about 30 mins to drink it all. I am probably taking in an average of 30 to 40 oz of liguid a day. That is three meals and water or juice in between. I have not weighed yet, won't know till I go in on the 22nd of May. I know I have lost because of my shirts getting loose, but no real info on the numbers lost. I am just happy to feel good and satisfied. Have a great day! I can't believe I am not hungry yet?! It has to be that my prayer power is working? I prayed for God to help me with the mind hunger, because I knew that would be the hardest part. The mind is a powerful beast.

Hi, Holliday Hope you are doing better with the diet. I am using Unjury brand protien and I love them. I had tomato soup with sour cream today for lunch and it went down great. I also tried Ramon Chicken soup without the noodles and it enjoyed it. I am 8 days out and holding 10 oz at a time. So far no nausea, I am thankful for that, I hate to be sick. Good luck and let me know how you are doing.

It's My Turn!
Hi, Everyone Today is a starting out to be a great day. I was able to drink 5 oz of my Choc. protein shake this morning and I slept wonderfully. I am only taking one pain pill a day now and that is an hour before bedtime. I am going to go out for a few hours today and shop and have some soup at Panera Bread Co. for lunch. They have a great Onion soup, just have to tell them to hold the bread and cheese. I still have not had any nausea or pain and don't feel hungry yet, so I hope that hold on till at least the two week mark. I'll keep you posted. Have a super day everyone... Bandedgirl08

It's My Turn!
Hi, Global I am five days out now and feeling great. Not one bit hungry! I am drinking about 4 oz. at a time; tea, skim milk, juice, soup, and even made chili for my family last night. I took a scoop of it and put in through a strainer to have a few spoons of the chili sauce. It was good and I was full at about 10 spoon fulls. I can sleep on my side now, so that is a plus and I truly just feel good. Norton's Hospital was real good to me and everyone I came in contact with was great. I was sleepy for the first three days and then it was all good from there. I know you must be getting really excited. Well, have a great weekend and I will talk to later this week. bandedgirl08 at last...

Introducing the May Bandsters
Hello Everyone, It has been so great to read all of your stories, the good, bad, and the ugly. I wish none of us had to deal with the unhealthy weight issues. I am just happy that now, we have help available and good people to share our journey with. My name is Nicci, I am 39, passionatly married and blessed with a beautiful, hurricain miracle, baby girl who is soon to be 3. I live in Sounthern Indiana, across the bridge from Louisville, Ky. I hit my hightest weight of 312 in May of 2007. Went to my Lapband seminar in June and spent the rest of 2007 getting tested, approved and ready. I was approved in November of 2007 and told it would be a few months to set a date with my surgeon, Dr. Jeffery Allen. I was banded on Monday, May 5th 2008. I too have always been on the heavy side and pretended it didn't bother me till I found out I was pregnant at age 35. I don't want to be a fat Mom, who can't play chase or the Mom that other little kids make fun of and hurt my Abigayle's feelings. I made up my mind, that I needed to do this for me and for my family. I am five days into my new journey and already feeling better mentally, and spiritually. I wish the best for all of you and look forward to sharing our journeys together. Bandedgiri08 at last...:biggrin2:

Where do Hoosiers shop for lapband related supplies?
Hi, Pen I too use Unjury.com. I use the vanilla, chocolate and chicken soup. It is all good. You can check with your surgeons office, some of them sell it right in the office. Good luck. Bandedgirl08

second thoughts
Hi Beastbron I too am scared, but If we had our doctors give us a report on the dangers of living another day at our size I am sure they could print out a ten page report on the compications from that. I think it may even be more scary to try nothing. I am going in for my surgery on April 3rd and getting more scared by the day, But I know I have to do this. I know it's going to be the best thing I ever did for myself. Good luck!
