Hi, Global sounds like you are doing well, I go next week for another appointment, I have had one fill thus far. My high was 312 and I am down to 272, so no complaints. I do need to get myself to the Y to work out though. I am slipping into the loose skin zone and hating it. Keep up the good work.

Keep up the good work and please send some of your brain power and prayer power my way???!!!

Hey Nanny, great job!, I hope to be that far in my goal in one year too. You are absolutly right about it being a hard job and that is is all about reatraining our minds. I had my surgery on May 5th and I am still not feeling hungry per say, but my mind still wants me to night snack and I am having a hard time with it. I know that I can do better and will propably do a little better once I get my first fill. Anyway just wanted to say great job to ya! Way to go Global, I saw your ticker and it looks like you are doing very well already. Keep up the good work. Come on Indiana, we can do this, we are worth it!!!

It's June 2008 Already? What's happening Indiana?
Good to hear from ya, YOU are doing so well with your loss. I have got to get my mindset in check with the working out. I love to workout, I just keep letting other things use up my time. I need to pray on it and remember to put myself first for awhile. It is so hard to do with a three year old who requires alot of time and attention. Well, anyway it was good to hear from you and just want to say keep up the good work.

I am scheduled for May
Hey Allison, Just stopping in to share my thought about your sitiuation with your guy. Try to remember, If you choose to park a "pinto" or some other "small" car in your driveway, then the "Hummer" or some other "BIG" car cannot fit in your driveway. Just a thought for you to grow on. I drove a pinto for seven years and got now where. I had "Him" towed away and now I have the best Hummer in town. He treats me like I deserve to be treated and loves me for me. Good luck and remeber you deserve a "HUMMER" too!

It's June 2008 Already? What's happening Indiana?
Hello Cindy, famrika, Jen and anyone else out there. I went for my second check up on the 26th and Dr. Allen is very pleased. We decided that I should wait for a fill, due to the steady loss. I am down 18 since the band and I am in my 7th week. I am ready getting back into exercise and drinking more water, so this should help to keep me on a losing track. I hope anyway. I am still doing fine, no complaints, just need to make some better food choices now that I can eat anything I want to. I am still staying away from thick meats and bread. Well, I hope everyone else is doing ok and I'll be in touch.

Whats Happening in May 2008 Indiana?
Hi, Jen and Fam I forgot to tell you all that I was heading to Florida for nine days, so I am sorry I hadn't done that. Anyway glad you two Evansville bandster to be found each other, that will be great if you have close support. I had my surgery in Louisville at Norton's Hospital. Dr. Jeffery Allen out of Louisville Surgical Group is who my surgoen is and my support group meets every second tueday of the month. I am 100 % happy with everything thus far, they are busy as all get out in this office, but have a great support team and staff. I go in on the 26th for my second visit with Dr. Allen, don't know if I am going to get a fill or what? guess we will see what he says. I am down twenty pounds in seven weeks, so I have no complaints about that and I am back to working out and I know that will make a huge change in the weight loss and toning up. Good luck and keep me posted. Be a great day!

I am scheduled for May
Hi, Everyone Glad to hear mostly positive post for us May folks. I am seven weeks out and eating pretty much anything I want except bread. I just have not missed it, so figure I'll stay away from it. I have felt like night snacking this week, so I need to get that out of my head real quick. I started swimming last week and started doing cardio this week and feel great about that. I am down twenty pounds since being banded on may 5th and am happy with that. I am mostly happy that I have it so easy, no complications what so ever. My biggest challenge is getting my mind wrapped around not drinking the required 1/2 hour before, during and 1/2 hour after meals. I am praying for strength in this area and know that I can work my way up to it. Just got back from a trip to Florida for nine days and all went great. I enjoyed swimming everyday and it felt good to visit with friends and family. Let's all be as great as we know we already are. Bandedgirl08 Banded May 5, 2008 Dr. Jeff Allen, Louisville, Ky.

Help me!
Go on an all liqids diet. Eat soup and broth and drink low sugar drinks and skim milk. You will shed that 10 pounds for sure. May want to go ahead and start on protein shakes too, they keep the hunger pangs away. Good luck!

Whats Happening in May 2008 Indiana?
Hi, Jen I am one month out tomorrow, and I can say I feel great. I am eating reg. foods now, just a whole lot less. I have not even had a major craving for anything. I pretty much gave up bread, just scared to try it, I don't want to be in pain if it gets stuck or something. I eat out just like before, but not near the amount that I used to. I am down 17 lbs as of today and the inches are really starting to show. I went from at size 26w 28w in pants and now am in a 22w 24w. I take a prenatal vitamen everyday and still drink a protein shake about every other day. I am going to start working out this week, so real happy about that. I am planning on staring out with walking and swimming, then plan to move up to strenght training and water aerobics. I have been lucky and not struggling with mind hunger so far, but I am sure it will come in its boughts. I am trusting in myself and God to help me throught it all. Best of luck to you and please feel free to keep me updated and ask any questions that you need to. I will help in any way I can.

Would you get breast implant.....??
Hi, there XX Be gone Can you share the name of the bra company that you mentioned or a website address? Sound like a great resource. Thanks, Bandedgirl08

Would you get breast implant.....??
:confused2: I am just starting to loose weight, had my band on May 5th, and of course it is all up top. I know that it will be awhile before any reconstructive surgery will take place on my breast or anywhere else for that matter. I would just like to find a really good bra, I am a 46 DDD right now  and I just can't seem to find something that will hold the girls up, and not be pointy or have big lines showing through your shirt or what seems like 100 hooks in the back to latch it all in. I would love to know where to get a "Real" good bra. If anyone has an idea or suggestion, please let me know. One who's never though of going wild in the powder room or anywhere else for that matter. There is a first time for everything and I am ready for the ride....

Weigh in... how much have u lost?
 I appreciate the "way to go's" that is one thing we all can use. I am going to wear my new outfit tomorrow at a family function. No one has seen me since March, so I hope they are not expecting me to be a size 2 already??? It is funny, it seems not when I talk on the phone to family and friends, they all ask, how much have you lost? even if its only been a week since I talked with them last? Ah, well give me a little time here folks... Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks for the pat on the back. Have a great weekend and I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow.

Anyone else eating normal?
It really is just in our heads most of the hunger that we have. I had my band in on the 5th of May and can say that I have only been truly hungry two times since then. They both were days that I was on the go and did not have any protein shakes. I've had one head hungry night and I know for a fact that I just wanted some junk because my husband was night snaking. I know that we can get over this part if we just stay strong, get enough protein in, and come on here to chat when we are having these feelings. Keeping it real. I am here anytime someone needs some extra encouragment. Have a super weekend everyone.

I went yesterday to find a new outfit, I was able to buy capri pants in a size 24 and I was wearing size 28. Yea!!!!!!!!!!!:tt2: I am so happy. I have gone from a 5X to a 4X in the shirts too..... This means more to me than the number on the scale. It feels real good. Keep up the good work and may you all have a blessed weekend.

It's My Turn!
Hey there Global Glad the everything went well for you with the surgery. Hope you shake that cold quick, I am sure that it is not what you need right now. I will send some positive energy your way. I am doing fine, eating mushies and feeling more that satisfied. The Doc said for me to look for a little weight increase in the next two weeks because of adding food back to the diet. I checked yesterday and I am still holding at my 16 lost, so I was happy to see that! Looking forward to next Monday, I go on regular foods then and I am wanting a salad. I hope that it goes down good. That is one food item I have missed. Well, have a super weekend and I'll talk to you next time.
