I replaced one meal with protein drink .. I got gout when I was on the liver diet which was 4 drinks for two weeks .. so I watch how many drinks .. it is scary when scale doesn’t move ..

3months post op .. I had a stall for one month .. my nut told me go back to protein drinks .. it broke the stall and losing again .. yea

My doc won't let me take NSaids .. I have nothing for my hip that needs replaced .. 3 months post op sleeve .. haven't lost any weight for a month but constant pain

I had to drink 4 protein drinks for two wks before surgery .. I got gout 3 days before surgery .. then every time I drank the protein drink ..I read gout because of fast weight loss .. nut said to try 1/2 protein or plant based ... plus lots water .. good luck .. gout is bad

My doc had the sleep test a requirement.. found out I had mild sleep apnea.. 9 ..sleeve 8:21 I took machine with me to hospital .. no issues .. per doc I would not heal properly without it .. I had very little pain and no complications

Two months post op .. I was just to my NUT for last visit .. I have been same weight for bout month .. per NUT not enough protein drinks .. I get gout from them .....going to have to get them in

One of the side effects of a sleeve ... also gout .. I had 5 spells of gout .. I read from losing weight too fast .. water is the answer ...

I need a new hip and got the sleeve to lose weight to get the hip .. I was on nsaids and in pain ... now not allowed nsaids .. allergic to Tylenol.. only choice is OxyContin.. which I can't function.. check to see what meds they will allow you on if you get surgery .. my pain is worse each day .. down 75 lbs

I am 8 wks post op sleeve and whole wheat .. anything hurts my new tubby .. I tried wraps .. cereal ... pita pockets ..

Only Tylenol per my doc .. nsaids can cause ulcer in new stomach .. how I need nsaids but afraid to use

I had sleeve 8/21,.. I am usually nauseous after surgery .. little dry heeves right after .. they gave me a shot and no more since ..

Two weeks after my sleeve .. I rolled over in bed and thought I was being stabbed .. pain terrible .. 911 and ambulance ride I had fluid around spleen .. next hospital I had leak from surgery .. very painful .. three days I was out and fine since .. just rest .. go easy on yourself

I lost 1/2 lb two weeks after surgery .. doc said my body was redistributing itself .. don't worry .. two weeks later it was 20 lbs .. go easy on you

Wouldn't be great if we had some kind of bariatric cloths closet .. I get three shirts in a 1x and send in 3 shirts in a 3x .. be great if doc office did something like that for patients ..

Thanks so much .. I am in Pa but go to fl for winter in Okeechobee God willing ... thanks so much .. it was protein drink that did this .. pre op was 4 30 grs protein drink a day for two wks .. dr has me mitigare when it starts .. hurts my tummy then diarrhea.. not good

Pescador... I think you are an Angel .. this gout and a new sleeve 8/21 I didn't know which wat to turn .. what brand of cherries did you buy .. chewable or capsule ?? I don't want to hurt this new tummy I have ..

I had same pain 3 wks from sleeve .. fluid around spleen .. I had a leak .. almost had to have a transfusion .. hope end of problems

Day before surgery no protein drink .. up to that day I had to have 4 a day for two wks clear liquid pre op diet

Marcy .. those two weeks . You will lose weight .. clear liquids does the trick

Allergic to Tylenol so not option .. I don't know what they will come up with

Big mgezzy.. I need a new hip so I just got the sleeve on 8/21... I bones really bothered me before I started my two wk pre op diet .. I also had to go off my Advil which didn't help the bones .. my bones are better now and I lost 31 lbs just on the pre op diet .. when your bones hurt and not as active 20 lbs is easy to go on .. hard to get off .. just take a day at a time

Good luck with your surgery ... hope you breeze right thru
