  2. I’ve been struggling with gout in both feet for the past two weeks I am at week seven now, my surgeon made a comment that it seems like there’s more gout cases after sleeve surgery. Has anybody heard about an upward trend in gout cases after the sleeve surgery? This case is probably lasting so long because I can’t take any medication for it because of surgery.

  4. It should depend on how much you need to lose. I lost about the same (30 in 5 weeks) I would follow your doctors advice. His opinion might change if he is talking to someone that has much more to lose then you do.
  5. I’m 6 weeks post-op and find I have from 5 - 10 hiccups after most meals and some times after drinking. Is this a common problem after Sleeve surgery? I didn’t do this before surgery.
  6. I don’t remember having pain but then again They kept me very comfortable with pain meds. I only got nauseated when I walked the first day. I was back to work at almost two weeks. I am 5 weeks post surg and have lost 30 pounds. I am very happy about having the surgery but was very apprehensive about having it at all.

  16. I thought that's what the site was about. I'm new and have learned a lot from your input I guess we could talk about kitties and puppies but how would that benefit me? That's what Facebook is for. I have my surgery in about three hours
  17. You look amazing and that is not easy to achieve, you have to be much stronger than you think. Stick with the program don't let yourself go back to where you were and then you can avoid the surgery. Congrats
  18. My wife had lap band surgery more than five years ago she lost over 100 pounds, she got to her goal weight and has not gained an ounce over that. She's doing great, has energy eats what she wants and still maintains her slim waist. I know we can gain our weight back but if we're re diligent I think it will be successful. I've seen plenty of people gain their weight back, but that doesn't have to be us, my wife is proof of that.
  19. I see you're getting or got the lap band, you should know my wife lost over hundred pounds on the lap band ( 5 years ago) and has had no complications with it, my wife is a big fan of it, and so am I, good luck on your continued journey

  21. Hey Jan17, I have struggled as well, setting at 240 for many years. Bottom line is, I bounced up and down on my weight for years and have finally decided to at 60 years old to go forward with the surgery. I have now developed three illnesses probably all caused by my weight I'm gonna fix this and add many years to my life. I've also decided to become more active and enjoy what life I have left with traveling and scuba diving and any other activities I want to do, my weight won't stop me. My surgery is in two days.
