My surgeon allowed it after a week.

Dang! I hope I can soon. I emailed him to see if I can eat some.

I was allowed to eat eggs once I got to the pureed stage. I had to start with runny scrambled eggs, but fully cooked, and could go onto more solid eggs once I hit soft solids. However, eggs no longer fit well with me anymore.

I can have them after two weeks!

I asked this at 3 weeks and was told at this stage It was a good chance I'd react badly to them and then never tolerate them so to weight for a few more weeks until all healed up. I'm not at 5.5 weeks and enjoy eggs regularly

Considering how restrictive the diet is and how important nutritional variety is I think it is important that we do talk about it!

Those of us that are new to this are still figuring out what works for us and the only way to do that is to talk about it. If you have been on clear liquids for weeks, you care about eating anything and this is supposed to be a place where we can come for support.

Good luck!!! Hoping for a smooth surgery and an even smoother recovery! I'm post-op week 1 and 1 day and haven't had any issues so far. 2 more weeks til I get to eat eggs! [emoji23]
