Gout attack

I’ve been struggling with gout in both feet for the past two weeks I am at week seven now, my surgeon made a comment that it seems like there’s more gout cases after sleeve surgery. Has anybody heard about an upward trend in gout cases after the sleeve surgery? This case is probably lasting so long because I can’t take any medication for it because of surgery.
