I hear you. But after dieting for a lifetime, I’m paranoid to repeat old habits. “Diet” for a few months, start cheating a little, then bam... full on binge, no diet mode. Although I’ve come so far
Beating my diet mentality, I still have moments:)

I saw my therapist today. She basically said the same thing. I had to look at it as a victory since I didn’t go crazy and binge. And to plan better when eating at friends houses!

I'm honestly baffled by this. You ate a small portion of food, that in total probably had 300 calories in it. You are more than two months out and this doesn't sound like it represents any kind of overeating. Just because you are eating healthier doesn't mean that you are limited to only eating healthy things for the rest of your life. The goal is moderation which it sounds like you are doing, don't try to convince yourself that you did anything wrong or that you "cheated." You ate what you wanted and did it in a way that conformed to your weight loss goals, so congrats.

I’m sleeved 2/6/18. The first month I had to really chew well. But other than that I eat/chew normally. If I eat too fast I feel it. I have no nausea, never vomited . Protein drinks/bars can have 30g or protein . If you incorporate one into your daily regime it’s easier. I basically still like all the same foods. I don’t crave sweets anymore. I think because I have to eat every few hours so I’m never starving. (That used to be when I’d binge on sweets). I don’t have room in my tiny belly for bread, rice, starches and I don’t crave them. By the time i eat protein and veggies or fruit, I’m full. I’ve had a super smooth recovery and feel totally normal now.

People need to do some research. I use PRESCRIBED medical cannabis via vape or tincture. I have chronic pain and brutal insomnia. I use a high cbd low thc strain. With little to no “high”. It has replaced several dangerous medications and given me my life back. I used Cannabis since the day I came home and never took ONE pain med. And btw, pain meds make one very high and are horribly addictive.

Horrendous Halitosis, Foul flatulence, Fabby Flesh Absent Appetite, Nasty Nausea Sneaky Stalls and Terminal Constipation, Good thing I really WANT this surgery because all that would scare a lesser person.. But my Will is firm, my commitment strong and I'm basically stubborn as a mule. I have heard one can choose friends well you didn't choose me so I must be part of the family, a big world wide Bariatric Family. And we will all be a success!

When I say fruit, maybe 3 strawberries or 7 grapes a few days a week. I added some slivered almonds to yogurt and that seems to help. As does eating low-fat (siggys) yogurt instead of fat free. I’m not able to eat it al but the almonds help keep me full

I’m 5 weeks post op and eating solids. All clean Proteins, fruit, veg etc. I eat until I’m comfortably full (550 cals daily approx). I drink all my liquids between meals. But I feel like after an hour I’m starting to get hungry by 2 hours, maybe 3 my stomach is starving! Can anyone recommend something that will make me stay full longer? It’s pretty inconvenient lol

Drop the fruit. You don’t need it, for sure for 6 months. Drop anything that tastes sweet. Eat Protein every two hours, fat is ok too. Eat a couple bites of carb with or after your protein. Don’t worry about the small amount of cals you can eat, or that you need food every 2 hours. No problem. It’s par for the course this soon after surgery for sure. And not horrible for life either. But it will get better.

I’m eating only good, lean Proteins, veggies, ff dairy, and maybe one Protein Shake a day for a lot of Protein and Vitamins. I have fibromyalgia which causes chronic fatigue. So I definitely I am very sensitive to feeling tired. And get kind of freaked out when I’m exhausted and don’t want to do a thing. It sounds like maybe my calories and foods are OK I just need to give myself a break and be tired for a few more weeks!

I’m 4 weeks out from sleeve surgery. My diet is Proteins and some fruit/veggies(not much) only getting 500 cals a day. My breath is STANKY. Is this ketosis breath? Or something from surgery? My kids are kind enough to tell me my breath smells like “poo”. Help

Not one bit. I felt like I did a ton of crunches. I had one moment of nausea and pain when I first woke from anesthesia. Then nothing but muscle soreness . It’s crazy you can’t feel they cut anything !

I got my sleeve on Tuesday. Went home from hospital on Wednesday. And today is my first full day home. I remember how scared I was before and that seeing positive posts always help so here goes mine. I had an awesome experience. Very little nausea when I first woke up. That was the only nausea I had. No vomiting whatsoever. And very very little pain. I was pretty shocked that it didn’t hurt nearly as much as I thought it would. I think the biggest challenge now is being able to get in 30 ounces of liquid in 30 ounces of clear liquid because you get full so fast. But nothing more than slight discomfort lots of burps and goggles. But I feel amazing. I hope this helps all of you calm your nerves.

Smoking tobacco and vaping mj are totally different. Smoking tobacco has been shown to cause all of the negative consequences you quote above.
You are not going to get the definitive answer you are looking for on vaping mj. The research simply hasn't been done.
